Vladimir Tyamchik (also known as Vladzimir Tsiamchyk or Uladzimir Tzaimchyk, born Dec. 14, 1973) is a Belarusian long-distance and middle-distance runner who was the 1999 national champion in the 10,000 meters. He was also represented his nation at four IAAF Half Marathon World Championships and one European Cross Championship race. [1] [2]
In 2002, Tyamchik ran his fastest marathon: a 2:11:38 at the Eindhoven Marathon. [3] In 2004, Tyamchik ran the 28th annual Grandma's Marathon from Two Harbors, Minnesota to Duluth and, while facing a strong headwind, beat Kenyan Luke Metto in the last six miles to win. [4] Tyamchik took home $7,500 for the victory. [5]
In 2005, Tyamchik was third in the Tokyo Marathon. [6] In 2006, he was racing the Kosice Marathon and came in second. [7]
Lyubov Denisova is a Russian middle- and long-distance runner. She is an athlete who earned the Russian title of “Master of Sports of International Class,” a winner of multiple major marathons in the United States who served a suspension in 2007-2009 for use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Obiri is a two-time Olympic 5000 metres silver medallist from the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she also placed fourth over the 10,000 metres. She is a two-time world champion after winning the 5000 m in 2017 and again in 2019, when she set a new championship record. Obiri also took world bronze for the 1500 metres in 2013 and silver in the 10,000 m in 2022. She won the 3000 metres race at the 2012 World Indoor Championships, claimed silver in 2014, and placed fourth in 2018. She is the 2019 World Cross Country champion. Obiri triumphed in the 2023 Boston Marathon, her second marathon race. She places fifth in the half marathon on the world all-time list.
Caroline Rotich is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in half marathon and marathon races. She has won the Las Vegas Marathon, New York Half Marathon and the Boston Marathon. She represented Kenya at the World Championships in Athletics in 2011 and has personal bests of 2:23:22 for the marathon and 1:09:09 for the half marathon.

Dominic Ondoro is a Kenyan long-distance runner best known for holding the course records at Minnesota's Grandma's Marathon and the Twin Cities Marathon. He has won many other major marathons, some multiple times, such as the 2017 and 2023 Houston Marathon in Texas, his two Melbourne Marathon wins in Australia and his unrivaled four Twin Cities Marathon wins in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

In 2009, he became the Russian National Champion in the half-marathon race at Cheboksary, Russia where he rad a 1:06:13.
Igor Braslavskiy is a Moldovan middle-distance and long-distance runner. He achieved fame in 1983, when he ran the 5,000 meters in Chișinău, then part of the Soviet Union (USSR), and clocked a 13:47.6, setting a new national record in Moldova for the distance. He continued to prominence as a runner in the USSR in 1986, when he became the National Marathon Champion for the nation on July 6 in Moscow.
Pavel Andreyev is a Russian middle-distance and long-distance runner who has won multiple US and European road races including the Dallas, Helsinki, St. Petersburg White Nights and Grandma’s marathons. He was also the silver medal winner in the 1997 Russian Athletics Championships 10,000 meters.
