Vogelenzang is a village in the municipality of Bloemendaal, North Holland, Netherlands. The village has a population of 2,260 (2004). The name "Vogelenzang" is Dutch for "bird song".
The Huis te Vogelenzang (House at Vogelenzang) was built circa 1600 by the Counts of Holland and was rebuilt in a neoclassical style 200 years later. Today the privately owned estate has 80 hectares of park grounds consisting of old coastal dunes and plains with historic pastures.
Since 1853 Amsterdam obtains its fresh potable water from the so-called Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen (Water Supply Dunes) near Vogelenzang (but mostly within Zandvoort municipality). It uses 34 square kilometres (13 sq mi) of sand dunes to filter water and is the oldest location used as such in the Netherlands.
Vogelenzang used to have a railway station called Vogelenzang-Bennebroek along the Haarlem - Leiden Centraal line. This wooden building still exists but is no longer in use as a station.
Vogelenzang was the site of the 5th World Scout Jamboree, held in 1937, which brought together 28,750 Scouts and Guides from all over the world.

Holland is a region and former province on the western coast of the Netherlands. The name Holland is also frequently used informally to refer to the whole of the country of the Netherlands. This usage is commonly accepted in other countries and is also commonly employed by the Dutch themselves. However, some in the Netherlands, particularly those from regions outside Holland, may find it undesirable, misrepresentative, or even offensive to use the term for the whole country.
The geography of the European Netherlands is unusual in that much of its land has been reclaimed from the sea and is below sea level, protected by dikes. It is a small country with a total area of 41,545 km2 (16,041 sq mi) and ranked 131st. With a population of 17.4 million and density of 521/km2 (1,350/sq mi) makes it the second most densely populated member of the European Union after Malta, and the 12th most densely populated country in the world, behind only three countries with a population over 16 million. Consequently, the Netherlands is highly urbanized.
Drenthe is a province of the Netherlands located in the northeastern part of the country. Voorhout is a village and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality covered an area of 12.59 km² of which 0.33 km² is covered by water, and had a population of 14,792 in 2004. Together with Sassenheim and Warmond, it became part of the Teylingen municipality on January 1, 2006. Voorhout is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region".
Warmond is a village and former municipality in the western Netherlands, north of Leiden in the province of South Holland. The municipality covered an area of 14.42 km² of which 4.42 km² is water, and had a population of 4,977 in 2004. Together with Sassenheim and Voorhout, it became part of the Teylingen municipality on 1 January 2006. Warmond is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region", and is notable for being extremely affluent.
IJmuiden is a small port city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is the main town in the municipality of Velsen which lies mainly to the south-east. Including its large sea locks, it straddles the mouth of the North Sea Canal to Amsterdam. To the south it abuts a large reserve of plant-covered dunes, the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. The city is on the south bank; the north bank is otherwise a steel plant and Velsen-Noord.
Overveen is a town in North Holland in the Netherlands, in the municipality of Bloemendaal. Overveen lies on the eastern fringe of the North Sea dunes. To the east it borders the built-up areas of Haarlem. A few kilometres to the west of the town lies the Erebegraafplaats Bloemendaal, where many Second World War victims have been reburied, including resistance fighter Hannie Schaft, sculptor and resistance leader Gerrit van der Veen, banker and resistance member Walraven van Hall, Physician and former Wehrmacht officer Karl Groeger, and sculptor and resistance member Johan Limpers. The town is connected to rail service by the Overveen railway station.
Lunteren is a town in Gelderland, the Netherlands. It has a railway station on the line between Amersfoort and Ede.
Bergentheim is a small village in the municipality of Hardenberg, the Netherlands with approximately 3500 inhabitants. Located between the canal Almelo- De Haandrik and the railway Zwolle-Emmen, the town used to have a railway station stationsweb), but it was closed in 1975. The building was still there until August 1993. The Village is from this time about 620 years old.

De Kaag is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Kaag en Braassem, and lies about 8 kilometres northeast of Leiden.
Bellingwolde is a village with a population of 2,655 people in the municipality Westerwolde in the Netherlands. It is situated in the southeast of the region Oldambt, in the north of the region Westerwolde, and in the east of the province Groningen, at the border with Germany.
The 5th World Scout Jamboree was the World Scout Jamboree where 81-year-old Robert Baden-Powell gave his farewell.
Voorthuizen is a village in the municipality of Barneveld, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. Voorthuizen was founded, according to legend, near a crossing of a ford ('Voorde') of the Ganzenbeek, a brook that no longer exists, on the road from Amsterdam to Deventer. This road was called a "Hessenweg" because seasonal labourers from Westphalia would travel along this road into the Netherlands. Another important road that lead through this place was the trade route from Harderwijk to Wageningen. This made Voorthuizen an important stop along these two routes.
In the Netherlands, water boards or regional water authorities are regional government bodies charged with managing water barriers, waterways, water levels, water quality and sewage treatment in their respective regions. These regional water authorities are among the oldest forms of local government in the Netherlands, some of them having been founded in the 13th century.
The Duin- en Bollenstreek is a region in the Western Netherlands, that features coastal dunes and the cultivation of flower bulbs. Situated at the heart of historical Holland nearby the city of Leiden, South Holland, it is boundered by The Hague to the west and Haarlem to the north. The combination of beaches, flower fields, lakes and history makes this area attractive to tourists.
