The POC-PSC Philippine National Games (PNG) is a multi-sport tournament in the Philippines. It includes the sport of Indoor and Beach Volleyball for both men and women. The most recent title holders were the Philippine Air Force Air Men and Women for Indoor Volleyball for both men's and women's title [1] while University of Santo Tomas Kris Roy Guzman and Mark Gil Alfafara, and Flormel Rodriguez and Therese Ramos of CEBU won the men's and women's beach volleyball respectively. [2]

Philippine Sports Commission organization

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is an agency of the Philippine government which tackles matters concerning sports in the country. The sports agency is independent from the Philippine Olympic Committee which enjoys autonomy from the government. It is led by Butch Ramirez.

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is a women's volleyball league in the Philippines organized by Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The league began in 2004 as the Shakey's V-League, a women's collegiate league with teams coming from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation (CESAFI), and other associations. The Philippine National Games (PNG) officially known as the POC-PSC Games is a national multi-sport tournament in the Philippines. It was created as a means to determine the possible composition of national pool athletes that will compete in international tournaments such as the Southeast Asian Games, Asian Games and the Olympics.

Cignal HD Spikers

The Cignal HD Spikers are a professional volleyball club in the Philippines playing in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) and the Spikers' Turf. The club is owned by Cignal TV, Inc., a subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., a PLDT company.

Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas

Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. is the current national governing body (NSA) for volleyball in the Philippines recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

The 2015 PSL season is the third season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two indoor conferences for the season – the All-Filipino, and the Grand Prix. It staged its first beach volleyball tournament, the Challenge Cup, for the women's and men's divisions.

Philippines at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games

The Philippines competed at the 29th Southeast Asian Games which took place in Malaysia from 19 to 30 August 2017. The Philippines contingent was composed of 497 athletes, 163 sporting officials and 70 administrative and medical staff who competed in 37 out of the 38 sports. The Philippines finished the 29th SEA Games in 6th place with a medal haul of 23 Golds, 33 Silvers and 64 Bronze which is the country's worst finish in 18 years. The next edition of the Southeast Asian Games will be hosted by the Philippines in 2019.

Mika Aereen Marcaliñas Reyes is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a Middle Hitter/ Blocker and is currently playing in the semi-professional league in the Philippines.

Kim Alano Fajardo is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was the team captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team for Season 78 and 79.

The 2015 Spike For Peace International Beach Volleyball Tournament was an international women's beach volleyball tournament hosted in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines from November 29 to December 3, 2015.

Cydthealee "Cyd" Alivio Demecillo is a Filipina volleyball athlete.

Cherry Rondina is a Filipina volleyball player. She is a member and a former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team. She is a 4-time UAAP Beach Volleyball MVP, and a member of the Philippine Women's Beach Volleyball team.

Marck Jesus P. Espejo is a Filipino volleyball athlete who currently plays for the Japanese club, Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler. He is a member of the Philippines men's national volleyball team and played collegiate volleyball with the Ateneo de Manila University.
