The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a public university in Harare,Zimbabwe. It opened in 1952 as the University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland,and was initially affiliated with the University of London. It was later renamed the University of Rhodesia,and adopted its present name upon Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. UZ is the oldest university in Zimbabwe.
The University of Dundee is a public research university based in Dundee,Scotland. It was founded as a university college in 1881 with a donation from the prominent Baxter family of textile manufacturers. The institution was,for most of its early existence,a constituent college of the University of St Andrews alongside United College and St Mary's College located in the town of St Andrews itself. Following significant expansion,the University of Dundee gained independent university status by royal charter in 1967 while retaining elements of its ancient heritage and governance structure.
The Lancaster House Agreement refers to an agreement signed on 21 December 1979 in Lancaster House,following the conclusion of a constitutional conference where different parties discussed the future of Zimbabwe Rhodesia,formerly known as Rhodesia. The agreement effectively concluded the Rhodesian Bush War. It also marked the nullification of Rhodesia's Unilateral Declaration of Independence,as British colonial authority was to be restored for a transition period,during which free elections under supervision by the British government would take place. Crucially,ZANU and ZAPU,the political wings of ZANLA and ZIPRA would be permitted to stand candidates in the forthcoming elections. This was however conditional to compliance with the ceasefire and the verified absence of voter intimidation.
The Rhodesian Front (RF) was a conservative political party in Southern Rhodesia,subsequently known as Rhodesia. Formed in March 1962 by white Rhodesians opposed to decolonisation and majority rule,it won that December's general election and subsequently spearheaded the country's Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI) from the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in 1965,remaining the ruling party and upholding white minority rule through the majority of the Bush War until 1979. Initially led by Winston Field,the party was led by the majority of its existence by co-founder Ian Smith,who would later go following the end of the Bush War and the country's reconstitution as Zimbabwe,it dissolved in 1981 and was succeeded by the Republican Front.
Eddison Jonasi Mudadirwa Zvobgo was a Zimbabwean politician and the founder of Zimbabwe's ruling party,ZANU–PF. He was the ZANU-PF's spokesman at the Lancaster House in late 1979.,a Harvard-educated lawyer,a war veteran,a freedom fighter,a poet,a national hero,and a hotelier.
Welshman Ncube is a Zimbabwean lawyer,businessman and politician. He is the founding MDC leader and former President of Zimbabwean political party Movement for Democratic Change –Ncube. He currently serves within the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC). He is a practicing lawyer in the firm Mathonsi Ncube Law Chambers,where he is the senior partner at their Bulawayo offices. He also runs a number of business ventures,including a farm in the Midlands Province.

Didymus Noel Edwin Mutasa is a Zimbabwean politician who served as Zimbabwe's Speaker of Parliament from 1980 to 1990. Subsequently,he held various ministerial posts working under President Robert Mugabe in the President's Office. He was Minister of State for Presidential Affairs from 2009 to 2014 and also served as ZANU-PF's Secretary for Administration.
The Dundee Law School is the law school of the University of Dundee in Scotland. He served as Leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) from 1975 to 1980 and led its successor political party,the ZANU –Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF),from 1980 to 2017. Ideologically an African nationalist,during the 1970s and 1980s he identified as a Marxist–Leninist,and as a socialist after the 1990s.

She was the wife of Herbert Chitepo,a leading figure in the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU),but was a major political figure in her own right and served as a minister in the government of independent Zimbabwe between 1980–1992.
Christopher Tichaona Kuruneri was a Zimbabwean businessman,politician,lawyer,farmer and philanthropist. He was a Minister of Finance,Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Development and member of parliament for Mount Darwin East. Kuruneri was a member of Zanu-PF. He owned Ascotvale farm in the Mazowe valley in Zimbabwe.
Alex Tawanda Magaisa was a Zimbabwean academic and lecturer of law at the Kent Law School of the University of Kent. He served as the Advisor of the then Prime Minister of Zimbabwe Morgan Tsvangirai from 2012-2013. Prior to becoming Advisor to the Prime Minister,Magaisa had been working as a core member of a team of experts tasked to advise on the drafting of the new Constitution of Zimbabwe. He is known for his legal,political and social commentary work on issues affecting Zimbabwe and other developing nations through his blog The Big Saturday Read. His work was sometimes featured by Zimbabwean news outlets including The Standard,Daily News,Newzimbabwe.com,and The Herald.
Christopher Hatikure Mutsvangwa is a Zimbabwean politician,diplomat and businessman. A veteran of the Rhodesian Bush War,Mutsvangwa served the government of independent Zimbabwe and the ZANU-PF party in a number of roles,including as Director-General of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation,Ambassador to China,head of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association,and Veterans' Welfare Minister.
Energy Mutodi is a Zimbabwean businessman,politician,lawyer,academic,author and musician. He is ZANU–PF Member of Parliament for Goromonzi West and former Deputy Minister of Information,Publicity and Broadcasting Services.
Callistus Dingiswayo Ndlovu was a Zimbabwean academic,diplomat,and politician. He joined the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) in 1963 as a teacher in Matabeleland,and went on to serve as its representative to the United Nations and North America in the 1970s. After Zimbabwe's independence in 1980,he was a member of the House of Assembly from 1980 to 1985 and served as a senator from 1985 to 1990. He left ZAPU and joined the ruling ZANU–PF party in 1984.
