Montgomery County is located in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 537,309, making it the fifth-most populous county in Ohio. The county seat is Dayton. The county was named in honor of Richard Montgomery, an American Revolutionary War general killed in 1775 while attempting to capture Quebec City, Canada. Montgomery County is part of the Dayton, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Its county seat is DeFuniak Springs. The county is home to the highest natural point in Florida: Britton Hill, at 345 feet (105 m). Kenton County is a county located in the northern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 169,064, making it the third most populous county in Kentucky. Its county seats are Covington and Independence. It was, until November 24, 2010, the only county in Kentucky to have two legally recognized county seats. The county was formed in 1840 and is named for Simon Kenton, a frontiersman notable in the early history of the state.

Cannon High School was a Kannapolis, North Carolina high school that existed from 1924 to 1951. Originally known as Central High School, it was renamed J.W. Cannon High School in 1930. In 1933, it burned down, and was rebuilt in 1934. A.L. Brown High School was constructed 50 yards southeast of Cannon High School in 1950–1951, and Cannon High School became J.W. Cannon Junior High School.
