Wamahinso is a town in the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Gyamfi Kumanin Senior High Technical School. [1] [2] [3] [4] The school is a second cycle institution. [5]
Like many other communities in the Ahafo Region, Agricultural farming is the main occupation. However, the presence of Newmont Goldcorp Ghana in the Wamahinso area has absorbed a lot of the youth into Mining. The major cash crops grown in this area is cocoa. Plantain, Cassava are among the food crops grown by residents in the area mostly on subsistence basis. [6]
Tamale, officially called Tamale Metropolitan Area is the capital city of the Northern Region of Ghana. Tamale is Ghana's third largest city. It has a projected population of 950,124 according to the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Official Website. It is the fastest-growing city in West Africa. It is located 600 km (370 mi) north of Accra. Goaso is a town and the capital of the newly created Ahafo Region of Ghana. Goaso doubles as the capital of Asunafo North Municipal District. It is located between three major towns; Mim, Kukuom and Hwidiem. Other surrounding towns include Ayumso, Akrodie, Fawohoyeden and Nkaseim. Goaso had a 2017 estimated population of 24,846 making it the 2nd largest town after Mim in the Asunafo North Municipal District. Goaso is home to the offices of certain government agencies and institutions.
Kenyasi is a town in Ghana and it's the capital of the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo Region. Kenyasi is a combination of two towns: Kenyasi No.1 and Kenyasi No.2 Kenyasi has abundance of Gold resources hence Newmont, Ghana Ahafo mine having their operations in the area since 2007. Kenyasi has direct routes to places such as Mim, Ahafo( 24 km); Hwidiem ( 5 km); Ntotroso (13 km). Notable secondary educational institution in this town is the OLA Girls Senior High School (Kenyasi)

Asutifi District is a former district that was located in Brong-Ahafo Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988. However on 1 February 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Asutifi North District and Asutifi South District. The district assembly was located in the southwest part of Brong-Ahafo Region and had Kenyasi as its capital town.

The distance from Mim to Sunyani is 64 km whilst that of Mim to Goaso is 14 km. Mim also has direct routes to: Kumasi; Accra; Kenyasi;Dormaa Ahenkro; Nkrankwanta and Sefwi Debiso. Mim is known for producing timber, cocoa and cashew. The estimated population of Mim in 2017 was 30,753 making it the largest town in Ahafo Region and that of Asunafo North Municipal District.
Ntotroso is a town in the Asutifi North District in the Ahafo Region of Ghana. The distance from Ntotroso to Kenyasi, the District capital is 13 km while that of Sunyani, the Bono regional capital is 41 km. Notable tertiary institution in this town, is the Ntotroso Nursing college.

Sefwi Debiso is a town in the Bia West District in the Western North Region of Ghana. It is a central town located between three major towns: Essam, Sefwi Adabokrom and Adwuofua. Because of rapid expansion, Debiso has conurbated with the nearby Community Essam. Presently, Sefwi Debiso & Essam serve as co-capitals of the Bia West District. There are direct distant routes from Debiso to major towns such as Kumasi, Berekum, Mim Ahafo, Sefwi-Wiawso and republic of Ivory Coast. Debiso is known for producing cocoa and timber. Debiso is also noted for the Bia National Park.
Adabokrom is a town in Western North Region of Ghana. It is the capital of Bia East. Adabokrom was named the District capital after Bia East District split from Bia District in 2012. Adabokrom is about 250 km west of Kumasi. The town is noted for cocoa production.
