Wan Kuzri bin Wan Kamal (born 9 August 2002) is an American soccer player who plays as a midfielder.
Kuzri was born and raised in the United States. [1] He is a native of Carbondale, Illinois. [2] As a youth player, Kuzri joined the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy. [3]
Kuzri attended the University of Akron. [4]
Kuzri has been called up to represent Malaysia internationally at the youth level. [5] [6] Kuzri has received comparisons to Croatia international Luka Modrić, Malaysia international Safiq Rahim and Germany international Toni Kroos. [7] [ better source needed ][ by whom? ]
On 1 May 2023, Wan Kuzri joined USL League Two club St. Charles on 3 months loan from Akron Zips. [8]
On 6 March 2024, Wan Kuzri joined St. Charles again from Akron Zips on 5 months loan deals before returning to the Akron Zips on 1 August 2024.
On 1 July 2025, Wan Kuzri joined USL League Two club Akron City after leaving Akron Zips. He joined the club on permanent deals.
On 14 July 2025, Wan Kuzri scored his 1st goal for Akron City in 3-0 win against Toledo Villa in USL League Two. [9] [10]
On 19 January 2026, Malaysia Super League club Negeri Sembilan announced the signing of new Malaysian Midfielder Wan Kuzri on the 2nd transfer window of Malaysia Super League. He joined Negeri Sembilan on permanent deal. [11] [12]
On 21 January 2026, Wan Kuzri joined Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League club UM Damansara United on loan from Negeri Sembilan. Wan Kuzri joined the club to gain experience playing in Malaysia League. [13] [14]
On 30 January 2026, Wan Kuzri made his team debut with UM-Damansara United in 1-1 draw against Malaysian University. He made his debut on 2nd half of the match as substitutes. [15]
Kuzri is the younger brother of Wan Kuzain, a professional soccer player in the United States. [16] [17] His older brother, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, is a Malaysian politician.
