Wanderlust is an American power pop band of the mid-1990s based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Scot Sax, a native of Philadelphia, had been playing and writing songs since the age of 13, and had actually performed with Rob Bonfiglio a number of times. The lineup was filled by rhythm members Mark Levin on bass and Jim Cavanaugh on drums, and Wanderlust was formed. [1]
In 1994, the band began recording a demo at Tongue & Groove Studios in Philadelphia with engineer Mike Musmano. Before the demo was completed the band was signed with RCA. The full length album, Prize, was released in April 1995 to positive critical reviews. [2] In 1997 the band returned to the studio to record a second album, but was dropped from the label and the record was never completed. The unfinished second album was later released by Not Lame. After the band's breakup, Scot Sax went on to form Bachelor Number One in 1999, which appeared on the American Pie soundtrack with the song "Summertime". He formed another band, Feel, in 2001 and has written or co-written songs for such artists as Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Jennifer Love Hewitt. [3] In 2006 he worked with Sharon Little on her debut CD Drawing Circles and her major label release Perfect Time for a Breakdown (CBS Records, 2008). [4] He now resides in Nashville and continues to release new music and produce documentaries as a filmmaker under the name Scot Sax Films.
Rob Bonfiglio went on to form The Better Days, later renamed The Skies of America, [5] whose song "Shine" appeared on the soundtrack to the 2007 film Bridge to Terabithia . [6] He also released a solo album called Bring on the Happy in 2008. [7] Bonfiglio has been married to Carnie Wilson since 2000. [8]
After leaving Wanderlust, Jim Cavanaugh was the drummer for a Philadelphia-based band, Swell Box, and has been with The Mighty Manatees since January 2007. He also produced the debut album by SugrHi. [9]
Mark Levin, who now goes by the name Mark Getten, lives in the Los Angeles area and plays bass for AM. He also heads an experimental project band called Indignitaries. [10]
In the fall of 2011, Scot sent an instrumental to former writing partner Rob. [11] Realizing that the chemistry was still there after 14 years, the band decided to get back together and work on a project. [12] They wrote and recorded the entire CD at Milkboy Studios in Ardmore, PA in three days. After finishing the album, the band signed with indie-label Zip Records, [13] and the CD is distributed by Red Distribution/Sony Music. Record Time was released on 25 September 2012 in a digital format. [14] The lead single "Lou Reed" can be heard on AAA radio and internet radio. [15] Wanderlust played the WXPN Free at Noon show in support of the new CD on July 27, 2012. [16]
Powerman 5000 is an American rock band formed in 1991. The group has released eleven studio albums, gaining its highest level of commercial success with 1999's Tonight the Stars Revolt!, which reached number 29 on the Billboard 200 while spawning the singles "When Worlds Collide" and "Nobody's Real". Frontman Spider One, younger brother of fellow metal musician Rob Zombie, has been the only consistent member of the lineup since the band's formation.
Stabbing Westward is an American industrial rock/alternative rock band. Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus formed the band in 1985 in Macomb, Illinois. The band released an extended play in 1992, followed by four studio albums: Ungod (1994), Wither Blister Burn & Peel (1996), Darkest Days (1998), and Stabbing Westward (2001). The band announced a dissolution in February 2002. Two compilation albums were later released in 2003. Stabbing Westward reunited in 2016 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its formation and continued to perform live shows. The band's first new album in 21 years, Chasing Ghosts, was released in 2022.
Carnie Wilson is an American singer, songwriter, and television personality. She is the daughter of Brian Wilson and in 1989 co-founded the pop music trio Wilson Phillips with her younger sister Wendy. From 1995 onwards, she has also been a host or guest star on a variety of television shows.
Peter Joseph Yorn is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He first gained international recognition after his debut record, Musicforthemorningafter, was released to critical and commercial acclaim in 2001. He is known for playing the bulk of the instruments on his records. Spin magazine, in a career retrospective article dated March 26, 2021, recognized Yorn as one of his generation's best songwriters. Yorn’s 11th full length album, The Hard Way, was released on August 23, 2024.
Hoobastank is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Agoura Hills, California, by lead vocalist Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estrin, drummer Chris Hesse, and original bassist Markku Lappalainen. They were signed to Island Records from 2001 to 2012 and have released six albums and one extended play to date. Their most recent album, Push Pull, was released in May 2018. They have sold 10 million albums worldwide.

Amebix were an English crust punk band. Formed as the Band with No Name, the band's original run was from 1978 to 1987, during which time they released two EPs and three albums. The group reunited in 2008, released another full-length album in 2011, and disbanded again in November 2012.
Curve were an English alternative rock and electronic music duo from London, formed in 1990 and dissolved in 2005. The band consisted of Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia. Halliday wrote the lyrics of their songs and they both contributed to songwriting. Producer Alan Moulder was a prominent collaborator who helped shape their blend of heavy beats and densely–layered guitar tracks set against Halliday's vocals.

John William Lowery, who is known by the stage name John 5, is an American guitarist. Lowery first took the stage name in 1998 when he left David Lee Roth's solo band and joined Marilyn Manson. Lowery later became the guitarist for Rob Zombie, and in 2022, became the touring guitarist for Mötley Crüe, being promoted to a full member the following year.
