Wapstan (misspelling of the cree word Wapistan meaning 'Marten') is the name of the main musical project of Canadian noise musician Martin Sasseville (born 1980) based in Montreal, Quebec. Originally formed in Saguenay as a project to create experimental sounds influenced by the experience of coldness, Wapstan based most of his sounds as a tribute of the north. The Wapstan sound is often self-described as "hypothermic drones". Wapstan's sound was originally constructed as a vitalist ambiance opposed to the general pessimism of the noise scene. Since its moving to Montreal in 2003, Wapstan started performing live and has performed many shows in Montreal as well as New England and central Canada.
Most Wapstan releases are on its own record label Brise-Cul Records under the CD-R format. The record label is also mainly focused on releasing similar-sounding artists as well as many Montreal artists such as Kvik, Grkzgl, Gmackrr, Midwifery, Les Temps Liquides, Monday Morning Erection, Dead Bush and many others.
Wapstan also have done split with many underground artists such as Envenomist, Pon De Replay, Grkzgl, Kapali Carsi, Rei Rea, Robe., Seplophobia, Never Presence Forever, Crotch, Hebeeb...

Knurl is the noise music project of Alan Bloor, Canadian experimental composer and sculptor. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Bloor has been performing and recording Knurl material since 1994, when his seminal harsh noise releases "Nervescrap" and "Initial Shock" were recorded and released. He has released over twenty albums internationally, and has collaborated with sound sculptors such as Jim O'Rourke, Thurston Moore, and Aube.
Incognito is the eighth French-language studio album by Canadian singer Celine Dion, which is her first album on a major label released by CBS Records on 2 April 1987 in Quebec, Canada. It features eight songs produced by Jean Roussel, Aldo Nova and Pierre Bazinet. Six songs were released as singles and all of them reached the top five on the Quebec Airplay Chart, including four number ones: "Incognito", "Lolita ", "Comme un cœur froid" and "D'abord, c'est quoi l'amour". Incognito was certified two-times Platinum in Canada and has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. It topped the chart in Quebec for five weeks.

Hexes & Ohs is a Canadian electronic indie pop group from Montreal. Their sound combines 1980s inspired beats and synthesizer sounds with indie pop structures and melodies. They have released three albums since 2005 and have opened for many artists such as Tokyo Police Club, Sloan, and Mates of State. The two members of Hexes and Ohs consist of Edmund Lam and Heidi Donnelly, who were high-school sweethearts who experimented and created their own musical sound.
We Are Wolves are a Canadian indie rock band, based in Montreal, consisting of vocalist and bassist Alexander Ortiz, keyboardist/backing vocalist Vincent Levesque and drummer/vocalist Pierre-Luc Bégin. The band released their debut album, Non-Stop Je Te Plie en Deux with Fat Possum Records, in 2005. They have toured extensively across Canada, the United States, and Europe to support the album and have been playlisted on CBC Radio 3. They also performed live on the first episode of that network's live concert series, CBC Radio 3 Sessions. Their second album, Total Magique, was released September 4, 2007, with a new label Dare to Care Records.

André Éric Létourneau is a French Canadian media and transmedia artist, researcher, author, musician, composer, curator and professor based primarily in Montreal and Saint-Alponse-Rodriguez, Québec, Canada. He uses several pseudonyms, most notably Benjamin Muon and algojo)(algojo. His work has been associated with the development of performance art, radio art, process art, sound poetry and experimental music. Since the 1980s, Létourneau has presented intermedia works in international performance art festivals, galleries and museums such as the Walter Phillips Gallery at the Banff Centre, The James H.W. Thompson Foundation in Bangkok and at the Pointe-à-Callière Museum. In 2006, he was one of the artists selected to represent Canada at the XVth Biennale de Paris under a pseudonym. Since 2012, Létourneau has also contributed to the Biennale des Arts d'Afrique de l'est in Bujumbura, the InterAzioni festival in Italy, the Steirischer Herbst in Graz, Austria, Festival Phénomena in Montreal, Grace Exhibition Space, and The Emily Harvey Foundation in New York.

His compositional style is eclectic, blending acoustic, electric and electronic elements into distinct soundscapes. His compositions have appeared on record, in television series and feature films.
