Wardha Saleem is a Pakistani fashion designer and the CEO of the Pakistan Fashion Council. [1] [2]

Early life

Wardha Saleem was born in Hyderabad, Pakistan, and now resides in Karachi, Pakistan with her family. Her elder brother Nubain Ali is also involved with the fashion and media industry of Pakistan and is a personal support and management partner for Wardha's label. She is an alumnus of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture where she graduated with a distinction in textile design. [3]

Career

In 2006, after a career that entailed teaching textile and fashion at Indus Valley, Saleem launched her label Wardha Saleem. She is credited with bringing Pakistani truck art into mainstream fashion. [4] In 2011, Wardha launched her printed Lawn Collection. [5] For the collection, she was nominated for the Lux Style Awards in the category for Best Lawn Brand. [6] In March 2012, she made her debut on the runway at the Showcase with her luxury prêt-à-porter line "Jhirki", followed closely by another collection in April 2012 for Fashion Week Pakistan by the name of "Sinned" and a line of patchwork outerwear in October 2012 consisting of juxtaposed black-and-white patterns with denim and colourful Pakistani folk toy motifs. [7] Her creations have gone on to include a "Folk Play", [8] "Doodle Junction" [9] and most recently, a "Dasht-e-Gul" [10] series showcased at Fashion Pakistan Week 2014. She launched her Bridal Wear at the Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) Loreal Paris Bridal Week 2014 in Lahore, Pakistan, with her debut collection titled "Madhubani". [11] [12] [13] [14] [15]

Zainab Qayyum also known as ZQ, is a Pakistani television actress, host, composer, and former model. She was crowned the best model of the year in the Lux Style Awards (2004) and was given the Most Stylish TV Actress Award in the Indus Style Awards (2006). Qayyum has appeared in numerous Urdu television series and music videos, and is known for her comic and strong antagonist roles in television serials. Some of her notable performance include Riyasat (2005), Sarkar Sahab (2007), Yeh Zindagi Hai (2008), Jalebiyan (2014), Mohabbat Ab Nahi Hogi (2015), Lagaao (2016), Aangan (2017), Phir Wohi Mohabbat (2017). She made her film debut with a cameo in action-drama Sultanat (2014) and appeared as Lawyer in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani (2015).

Anamika Khanna is an Indian fashion designer who operates from her studio situated in Kolkata. She has been covered by the Business of Fashion (BOF) for being the Indian designer who has blended traditional Indian textiles and techniques with Western silhouette and tailoring. She is the first Indian designer to have an International label: "Ana mika". Her creations are sold online and offline stores across India and abroad. Before entering the fashion industry, Anamika was a classical dancer and painter.

Lubica Kucerova, also known as Lubica Slovak, is a Slovakian-born fashion designer, Ryerson University graduate and founder of Lubica, clothing company based in Jamaica. Lubica's early childhood influence was her grandmother who was a seamstress. She debuted her self-titled fashion line Lubica in Toronto at the LG Fashion Week in 2005 and has created several collections under her brand: Blue, Bliss, Bloom, Toucan, Trinity, Beyond and Dream. The Lubica line includes bikinis, resort contemporary women's wear and is inspired by the tropics. Lubica is also recognized for her partnership with international recording artist Tami Chynn in opening a female boutique named Belle in Kingston, Jamaica and also their collaboration in designing the award-winning Anuna collection.

Rena Koh is a Malaysian-born British fashion designer, especially noted for her bridal wear. She is based in Boca Raton, Florida.

Zainab Chottani is a Pakistan based fashion designer who started as a bridal wear designer but has since then included prêt and haute couture in her forte. She is one of the well known designers in Pakistan for bridal wear and has displayed her creations in Pakistan as well as in Dubai, USA and London.

Sarah Jawaid, better known by her label name Sarah Gandapur, is a popular Pakistani fashion designer and Fashion journalist. She rose to prominence by exhibiting number of fashion shows and fashion weeks. She also debuted as a costume designer for films and was awarded ARY Film Award for Best Costume Design for Chambaili.

Maheen Khan is a Pakistani fashion and costume designer, also an award winner fashion designer for fashion labels like The Embroidery House, Maheen and Gulabo. She has done many national and international fashion events and shows. She undertook embroidery for the film Snow White and the Huntsman and television series The Jewel in the Crown. For the e-commerce, her brand is officially onboard on Studio by TCS.

Shamoon Sultan is a Pakistani textile designer, textile businessmen and founder of Khaadi, an international retailing fashion house which produces "handwoven" clothing material for men, women and children as well as home furnishings clothing line. Shamoon has won numerous industry awards including Lux Style Award for High Street Band thrice, Achievement in Fashion Design – Prèt and has been nominated at different occasion in several categories at Lux Style Awards. Khaadi is regarded as the one of the best fashion-brand in Pakistan.

Sania Maskatiya is a Pakistani fashion designer. Her clothing line is called Sania Studio, which was featured in the 2018 edition of New York Fashion Week. She has won many LUX Style Awards for Achievement in Fashion Design. A textile design graduate of the prestigious Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan, Sania Maskatiya joined hands with business partner and director, Umair Tabani, in 2010 to creative a distinctive fashion label that captured the fashion industry by storm. Her brand is known for including rich textiles, fabric design and embroidery within its pieces. Through the success of her brand, Sania Makatiya became one of Pakistan's renowned fashion designers and exports, with branches all over Pakistan, and in Dubai, Singapore, The United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari is a Pakistani public figure and educationist. She is the chairperson of SZABIST. She is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, sister of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and granddaughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, making her a member of the politically prominent Bhutto family of Pakistan. She is also a trustee of SZABIST Foundation. and Sindh Peoples Welfare Trust.
