The 2020 Washington gubernatorial election will be held on November 3, 2020, to elect the Governor of Washington, concurrently with the 2020 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to the United States Senate and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections. As Washington does not have gubernatorial term limits, incumbent Democratic Governor Jay Inslee is eligible to run for re-election to a third term in office, but has not yet announced whether he will do so. Inslee may chose to run for president, as there has been rampant speculation about. [1] [2] [3]

Jay Inslee 23rd Governor of Washington

Jay Robert Inslee is an American politician, author, and lawyer serving as the 23rd and current governor of Washington since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in the United States House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995 and again from 1999 until 2012.

Dow Constantine American politician

James Dow Constantine, better known as Dow Constantine, is an American politician in the state of Washington where he currently serves as King County Executive, an office he has held since November 2009. He was previously in the state legislature and on the King County Council, chairing the latter before his election as Executive. Constantine is a self-identified Democrat, although the Executive's office is officially nonpartisan. He is a likely candidate for governor in 2020.

Bob Ferguson (politician) American politician

Robert Watson Ferguson is an American lawyer and politician who is the 18th and current Attorney General of Washington. A Democrat, he was elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. Prior to serving as Attorney General, Ferguson was a member of the King County Council.

Incumbent Democratic Senator Patty Murray ran for re-election to a fifth term, and won by a significant margin, winning 59% of the vote, to Republican Chris Vance's 41%.

The 2020 United States presidential election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2020, will be the 59th quadrennial U.S. presidential election. Voters will select presidential electors who in turn on December 14, 2020, will either elect a new president and vice president or re-elect the incumbents. The series of presidential primary elections and caucuses are likely to be held during the first six months of 2020. The 2020 presidential campaign of Jay Inslee began when Inslee, the Governor of Washington, announced that he would be running for the Democratic nomination on March 1, 2019. Inslee's campaign centers around climate change and environmental issues.
