Watch You Bleed: The Saga of Guns N' Roses is a rock biography written by Stephen Davis, published by Gotham Press and released August 26, 2008. It chronicles the story of U.S. hard rock band Guns N' Roses from their earliest days up to the year of publication.
Watch You Bleed documents the history of Guns N' Roses from the earliest childhood days of singer W. Axl Rose and his lifelong friendship with guitarist Izzy Stradlin to the formation of the band, their years at the top of the music world and eventual downfall. Most of the book is dedicated to the band's early period from 1985 to the release of the Use Your Illusion albums in 1991. There is some charting of the former members' later careers with bands like Velvet Revolver and also of Rose's efforts to record and release the Chinese Democracy album, finally released on November 23, 2008.

Use Your Illusion I is the third studio album by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, released on September 17, 1991, the same day as its counterpart Use Your Illusion II. Both albums were released in conjunction with the Use Your Illusion Tour. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, selling 685,000 copies in its first week, behind Use Your Illusion II's first-week sales of 770,000. Use Your Illusion I has sold 5,502,000 units in the United States as of 2010, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Each of the Use Your Illusion albums have been certified 7× Platinum by the RIAA. It was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1992. This is their first album to feature drummer Matt Sorum, who replaced Steven Adler following Adler's departure in 1990, as well as keyboardist Dizzy Reed. This is their first album to be recorded as a six-piece band.
Jeffrey Dean Isbell, best known as Izzy Stradlin, is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was a co-founder, rhythm guitarist, and backing vocalist of the hard rock and heavy metal band Guns N' Roses, which he left at the height of their fame in 1991, and with whom he recorded four studio albums.
Michael Andrew "Duff" McKagan, is an American musician. He played bass for twelve years in the hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. McKagan rejoined the band in 2016, following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Thomas Eugene Stinson is an American rock musician. He came to prominence in the 1980s as the bass guitarist for The Replacements, one of the definitive American alternative rock groups. After their breakup in 1991, Stinson formed Bash & Pop, acting as lead vocalist, guitarist and frontman. In the mid-1990s he was the singer and guitarist for the rock band Perfect, and eventually joined the hard rock band Guns N' Roses in 1998.

Chinese Democracy is the sixth studio album by the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, released on November 23, 2008, by Black Frog and Geffen Records. It was the first Guns N' Roses studio album since the 1993 covers album "The Spaghetti Incident?", and their first album of original studio material since Use Your Illusion I and II (1991). It underwent a protracted recording process, delayed by personnel and legal problems, label interference, and vocalist/producer Axl Rose's perfectionism. It was the first Guns N' Roses album not featuring classic lineup members Izzy Stradlin, Slash, and Duff McKagan, as well as the first not produced by long-time producer Mike Clink; instead it was produced by Rose and Caram Costanzo.

Die Mannequin was a Canadian alternative rock band from Toronto, founded by guitar player and singer Care Failure in 2005. The band has toured across Canada several times, opening for Buckcherry, Guns N' Roses, Marilyn Manson and Sum 41. Ronald Jay Blumenthal, better known by his stage name Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal or simply Bumblefoot, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He adopted his nickname from the bacterial infection of the same name, which he learned about while helping his wife study for her veterinary exams. The name went from being just the name of an album, to the name of a record label, to a band name, to eventually his name as a solo artist. He was one of two lead guitarists in Guns N' Roses from 2006 until 2014 and performed on their sixth studio album Chinese Democracy. He is currently the guitarist for the supergroup Sons of Apollo and served as the guitarist and vocalist for the band Asia from 2019 to 2022.
