"We Can Breathe in Space, They Just Don't Want Us to Escape" is a song by English rock band Enter Shikari. The release of the single is the only release of Enter Shikari in 2008. The single was not released on the band's album, Common Dreads , in 2009, as it was decided by the band that it would be a "go-between" Take to the Skies and Common Dreads .

Contents

The song was originally demoed by the band in 2006. The reason of the re-recording was because of many requests from fans to have this song re-recorded. [1] It is also noted that it became popular amongst fans due to P2P and File sharing sites. [2]

The single was released digitally on 2 November 2008, with the physical formats to be released on 3 November 2008. All physical formats are limited to 1000 copies.

Music video

The music video features the band performing the song wrapped up in tinfoil suits. The video was shot on location in The 'Low, St Albans (the back of Chris Batten's house) and was directed by Alex Smith who also directed the video for "Jonny Sniper"

Enter Shikari are an English rock band formed in St Albans in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. "Destabilise" is a single by English rock band Enter Shikari, released as an iTunes exclusive download on 26 October 2010 and as a limited coloured 7" vinyl on 29 November 2010 in the UK and Europe. The track was recorded in the summer of 2010 to be released as a "one off single". After recording the track, the band went on to numerous tours including Warped Tour and a tour of Australia. After Warped Tour, the band recorded the music video for the track before their Australian tour. The band performed the track at multiple festivals and UK Shows including the Reading and Leeds Festivals and at their Preston show, both of which they posted on their YouTube channel. The song was first played live at the SXSW Festival on 18 March 2011 in Austin, Texas.
