We Can Do Whatever is the debut album by American singing duo Otis & Shug. Although it was scheduled to be released August 29, 1995 on Interscope Records, the album was shelved until it finally was released January 18, 2005, on Expansion Records. It was produced by Raphael Saadiq. One single, "Journey", peaked at number 60 on the 1996 Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. [2] It features guest performances by Raphael Saadiq.

Tony! Toni! Toné! was an American soul/R&B group from Oakland, California, popular during the late 1980s and early to mid-1990s. During the band's heyday, it was composed of D'wayne Wiggins on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Raphael Saadiq on lead vocals and bass, and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley on drums and keyboards. Originally, the band went by "Tony, Toni, Toné" as a joke, until they realized it "had a nice ring to it".

The Way I See It is the third album by American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Raphael Saadiq. It was released on September 16, 2008, by Columbia Records – his first for the label. Prior to signing with Columbia, Saadiq had independently released his 2004 album Ray Ray, recorded with the songwriting and production duo Jake and the Phatman. He developed a creative partnership with their colleague, audio engineer Charles Brungardt, who shared Saadiq's fascination with historic recording techniques and equipment. In 2008, the singer returned from a vacation that had inspired him to pursue classic soul music and recorded The Way I See It primarily at his North Hollywood studio with Brungardt.

Otis & Shugg are an American singing duo from Oakland, California, with two members: Otis Cooper and Rafael "Shugg" Howell. After releasing two singles, "Keep it on the Real" and "Journey", in 1995 and 1996 respectively, they recorded their debut album on Interscope Records, We Can Do Whatever. The album would not see the light of day until ten years later. Meanwhile, the duo appeared on several Bay Area hip hop albums, including extensive work by Ant Banks: The Big Badass, Big Thangs, The Element of Surprise, Derty Werk, Hempin' Ain't Easy and Lead the Way.
