History

Web Werks was established in 1996 as an internet infrastructure company and gradually expanded into colocation and cloud services. [2] In 2021, Web Werks entered into a joint venture with Iron Mountain Data Centers, providing the latter with a foothold in the Indian market. [3] In 2023, Iron Mountain completed the acquisition by purchasing the remaining stake in the joint venture, thereby fully integrating Web Werks into its global operations. [4]

Strategic partnerships

In October 2024, Web Werks partnered with Iron Mountain Data Centers and Lightstorm, a digital infrastructure provider, to enhance interconnection and network capabilities in India. [5] The collaboration aimed to address increasing demand for low-latency, high-performance digital services across Indian metros. [6]

Business activities

Web Werks has been involved in multiple business contracts with domestic technology firms. In 2024, Web Werks awarded contracts to firms such as Techknowgreen and others, enhancing these companies' stock performance due to market optimism around data center investments. [7]
