The first Kashmiri feature film, Mainz Raat, was released in 1964. In 2023, Welcome to Kashmir, directed by Tariq Bhat, became the first-ever Kashmiri-produced Bollywood film to release in Kashmiri cinemas.

Monalisa make a special appearance in song "Susuk Susuk Ke Royi Thi". It is sequel of 2016 Bhojpuri film Dulhan Chahi Pakistan Se.
Damru is a 2018 Indian Bhojpuri-language action drama film directed by Rajnish Mishra and produced by Pradeep K Sharma under banner of "Baba Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd". It stars Khesari Lal Yadav and Yashika Kapoor, while Awadhesh Mishra, Padam Singh, Anand Mohan, Rohit Singh "Matru", Subodh Seth, Devendra Singh and Kiran Yadav play supporting roles. Director of this film Rajnish Mishra and lyricist Pawan Pandey make a special appearance in song "Tohra Karam Se Maula".

This film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Velaiilla Pattadhari. In this film, Khesari Lal Yadav and Sahar Afsha are in lead roles, while Ritu Singh, Amit Shukla, Shraddha Nawal, Surya Dwivedi, Uday Tiwari, Mahesh Acharya, Neel Kamal Singh, Manoj Tiger, Brijesh Tripathi and others in supporting roles. Tariq Bhat is an Indian Kashmiri Writer and Director who predominantly works in Bollywood cinema. He is known for his movie, Welcome to Kashmir which was released in Jammu and Kashmir theatres. He is also the director of Zindagi Tumse released in 2019.
Neelam Giri is an Indian actress. She mainly works in Bhojpuri films and television serials. She made her on-screen debut with Babul (2021) directed by Awdhesh Mishra and her performance was praised by critics. Her notable works are Babul (2021), Ijjat Ghar (2022), Tun Tun (2022) and Kalakand (2022).
