Wellington Country Park is a country park in Riseley, near Reading.

Overview

The park consists of 350 acres (1.4 km2) of coniferous and deciduous woodlands with attractions, several nature trails, and a lake. The park is the ultimate adventure for 3-8 year olds with all attractions being aimed for this target age group including adventure playgrounds, mini-golf, an animal farm, miniature railway, jumping pillow, and more.

It was opened in 1974 by the 8th Duke and Duchess of Wellington.

The park also has a campsite which has sole use of the children's play area facilities when the park itself closes. [1] [2]

Bubbleworks

Bubbleworks was a dark water ride opened in 1990 at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in Greater London, England. It took riders through animated scenes of a comical factory producing fizzy pop. The original ride closed, to be redesigned in 2006 with a sponsorship by Imperial Leather toiletries, with the majority of the animations removed. The new Bubbleworks then closed in September 2016 to be replaced by The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure.

Scolton Manor

Scolton Manor is a Victorian country house and country park located in Pembrokeshire, West Wales northeast of Haverfordwest and on the borders of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Built as a home, it is now a museum and is a Grade II* listed building. The stable court, some 120 m (130 yd) to the north, is also a Grade II listed building and both are owned by Pembrokeshire County Council. The house, grounds and a number of exhibits are open to the public.

Arví Park

Arví Park is both an ecological nature preserve and Pre-Hispanic archeological site on the eastern slopes of Aburrá Valley, in the northeast area of Medellín, Colombia. The park covers several other municipalities of Antioquia, including Envigado, Bello, and Copacabana. It covers 16,000 hectares, 1,760 of which are in the state of natural forests. And it is equipped with 54 miles of walkable trails. It is a major tourist attraction, known for its wildflowers, butterflies and trails. Terror Tomb was a dark ride attraction at Chessington World of Adventures in southwest London, England, themed as an adventure inside a haunted tomb. The ride opened in 1994 along with the Forbidden Kingdom area. All music was composed by Graham Smart, including the hard rock song featured in the ride's finale.

<i>Hocus Pocus Hall</i>

Hocus Pocus Hall was a gothic-themed house of mirrors at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in southwest London, England. Originally the site of several mansions dating back to 1348, Burnt Stub Mansion was a private feature for years, before opening as Hocus Pocus Hall in 2003. It closed in 2018 to be redeveloped as Room On The Broom: A Magical Journey.

Black Buccaneer

Black Buccaneer was a swinging pirate ship that operated at Chessington World of Adventures Resort in southwest London, England from 1988 to 2018 in the Pirates' Cove section of the park. After operating for 30 years, the ride has been replaced by Blue Barnacle in 2021.

Peeking Heights

Peeking Heights was a Ferris wheel that opened in 2005 at the long-lived Mystic East area of Chessington World of Adventures Resort, where it provided views of the entire park and on a clear day a view of London, including Wembley Stadium.
