Sharif Karim Fajardo Blanding is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player. Fajardo has played in the CBA, NCAA, and the National Superior Basketball League of Puerto Rico (BSN) with Santurce Crabbers, Quebradillas Pirates and the San Germán Athletics. Fajardo has played internationally in France, Italy, and Greece. Fajardo participated in the 2005 Pre-Season Training Camp of the Toronto Raptors of the NBA. Fajardo was a member of the Puerto Rican National Basketball Team, most notably the 2004 Puerto Rican National Basketball Team that defeated the United States at the 2004 Olympic Games in Greece.

Gail Charles Goodrich Jr. is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is best known for scoring a then record 42 points for UCLA in the 1965 NCAA championship game vs. Michigan, and his part in the Los Angeles Lakers' 1971–72 season. During that season the team won a still-record 33 consecutive games, posted what was at the time the best regular season record in NBA history, and also won the franchise's first NBA championship since relocating to Los Angeles. Goodrich was the leading scorer on that team. He is also acclaimed for leading UCLA to its first two national championships under the legendary coach John Wooden, the first in 1963–64 being a perfect 30–0 season when he played with teammate Walt Hazzard. In 1996, 17 years after his retirement from professional basketball, Goodrich was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Goodrich is the leader in most minutes played in Suns franchise history with 39.9.
Raef Andrew LaFrentz is an American former professional basketball power forward and center who played for the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, and Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born and raised in Iowa, LaFrentz attended the University of Kansas and was drafted in 1998 by the Denver Nuggets. He was known for his perimeter shooting and his shot blocking abilities. In 2019–20 LaFrentz became an assistant basketball coach at Decorah High School in Decorah, Iowa.

The 2006–07 UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The team was coached by Lon Kruger, returning for his third year with the Runnin' Rebels. They played their home games at the Thomas & Mack Center on UNLV's main campus in Paradise, Nevada and were a member of the Mountain West Conference. The Runnin' Rebels finished the season 30–7, 12–4 in MWC play. They won the 2007 Mountain West Conference men's basketball tournament to receive an automatic bid to the 2007 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, earning a 7 seed in the Midwest Region. The Runnin' Rebels defeated 10 seed Georgia Tech in the opening round and 2 seed Wisconsin to reach the Sweet Sixteen before losing to 3 seed Oregon in the regional semifinals.
