Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist/rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Mike Shinoda, lead guitarist Brad Delson, DJ/turntablist Joe Hahn, bassist Dave Farrell, co-lead vocalist Emily Armstrong, and drummer Colin Brittain. The lineup for the band's first seven studio albums included lead vocalist Chester Bennington and drummer Rob Bourdon until Bennington's death by suicide in July 2017, which caused the band to enter an indefinite hiatus. In September 2024, Linkin Park's reformation was announced along with the addition of Armstrong and Brittain.
Nu metal is a subgenre of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, funk, industrial, and grunge. Nu metal rarely features guitar solos or other displays of musical technique, and emphasizes rhythm with instrumentation that is heavily syncopated. Nu metal guitarists typically use seven-string guitars that are down-tuned to produce a heavier sound. Chester Charles Bennington was an American singer who was the lead vocalist of the rock band Linkin Park. He was also the lead vocalist of Grey Daze, Dead by Sunrise, and Stone Temple Pilots at various points.
Michael Kenji Shinoda is an American musician, rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and graphic designer. He co-founded the rock band Linkin Park in 1996 and is the band's co-lead vocalist, as well as rhythm guitarist, keyboardist, primary songwriter and producer. Shinoda later created a hip-hop-driven side project, Fort Minor, in 2004. He has also served as a producer for tracks and albums by artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Styles of Beyond, and the X-Ecutioners.

Ryan Shuck is an American musician and co-founder of industrial rock band Orgy and electronic rock band Julien-K. He was the guitarist and backing vocalist of Dead by Sunrise, the alternative rock side project of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. He was also the lead singer of the rock band Adema from 2019 to 2024. Initially in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Shuck played in the Bakersfield-based rock band Sexart alongside future Korn lead singer Jonathan Davis and future Adema bassist Dave DeRoo.

Linkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington was a tribute concert by American rock band Linkin Park, held on October 27, 2017, at the Hollywood Bowl in order to honor their frontman Chester Bennington who died by suicide on July 20, 2017. It was Linkin Park's only live performance following Bennington's death until the band's reformation in 2024, and their final concert to include drummer Rob Bourdon, who did not rejoin the band following its hiatus, and lead guitarist Brad Delson, who has not toured with the band since its reunion, although he remains an official member. The concert featured various artists, including Blink-182 members of System of a Down, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Gun Kelly, Sum 41, Bring Me the Horizon, Civil Twilight, A Day to Remember, Yellowcard, and Kiiara.
Masato David Hayakawa born December 17, 1986); known professionally as Masato, is a Japanese singer, musician, songwriter, producer and model. He is known for being the bandleader and vocalist of the Japanese rock band Coldrain since their formation in 2007. He was a former member of AVER, alongside one of his fellow Coldrain members, drummer Katsuma Minatani.
"Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)" is a song by American rock band Papa Roach. Originally released as a song on their 2022 album Ego Trip, it was released as a single on November 24, 2023, in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the Talk Away the Dark campaign.
