Byomkesh was a 2014 Indian Bengali crime fiction television series based on the Bengali sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. In 2015, he started his film career with the Zee Bangla telefilm Kader Kuler Bou. He got fame for his character as Bishan Roy from the film Eagoler Chokh. For playing this role, he was picked up as the Filmfare Awards East for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2017. In 2019, He got his first Best Actor Award for the role of Nikhilesh Chowdhury from the movie Ghawre Bairey Aaj which was immensely praised by critics and audiences. He made his directorial debut through the Bengali crime drama web series Mandaar, which is inspired by William Shakespeare's Macbeth. His second direction Ballavpurer Roopkotha was released on 21 October 2022.

Bibaho Obhijaanlit. 'The Adventures of Marriage' is an Indian Bengali-language comedy drama film directed by Birsa Dasgupta and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni. The film stars Ankush Hazra and Bangladeshi actress Nusraat Faria in lead roles, and Priyanka Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, Anirban Bhattacharya and Sohini Sarkar in a supporting role. This film was released on 21 June 2019 under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. The music direction of the movie was made by Jeet Gannguli. A standalone sequel named Abar Bibaho Obhijaan was released on 25 May 2023.

The 5th Filmfare Awards Bangla ceremony, presented by The Times Group, honor the best Bengali language Indian films of 2020–2021. The nominations were announced on 14 March 2022. The ceremony was held on 17 March 2022 in Kolkata. Borunbabur Bondhu and Tonic shared the award for Best Film. The Award Show was aired on 24 and 30 April 2022 on Zee Bangla and Zee Bangla Cinema respectively. The show was hosted by Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar and Anirban Bhattacharya.
Abar Kanchanjungha is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language family drama film directed by Raajhorshee De. The screenplay was written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and Raajhorshee De. The film features an ensemble cast including Anindya Chatterjee, Rupankar Bagchi, Rahul Banerjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Bidipta Chakraborty, Tanushree Chakraborty, Arpita Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Padmanabha Dasgupta, Devlina Kumar, and Kaushik Sen. The film was produced by Mitaa Pal, Akshatt K Pandey, and Shilpi A Pandey. It was released theatrically on 1 April 2022 and digitally on 26 May 2023 on ZEE5.
