The Zumbro River is a tributary of the Mississippi River in the Driftless Area of southeastern Minnesota in the United States. It is 64.6 miles (104.0 km) long from the confluence of its principal tributaries and drains a watershed of 1,428 square miles (3,700 km2). The river's name in English is a change from its French name Rivière des Embarras due to its mouth located near Pine Island in the Mississippi River; the pronunciation changed from [dez‿ɑ̃.ba.ʁɑ] to. The Dakota name for this river is Wapka Wazi Oju, having reference to the grove of great white pines at Pine Island.
Lynnhurst is a neighborhood in the Southwest community in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its boundaries are 46th Street to the north, Lyndale Avenue to the east, 54th Street to the south, and Penn Avenue to the west. It is located along the southeastern shore of Lake Harriet. Outflows from the lake run through a parkway for several city blocks to reach Minnehaha Creek.
Hay Creek is a small trout stream in southeastern Minnesota. It has its headwaters west of Goodhue and empties into the Mississippi River just to the north of Red Wing. It runs 25.1 miles (40.4 km), over half of which is a Minnesota designated trout stream. Like the Vermillion River, Hay Creek receives extensive fishing pressure due to its proximity to Minneapolis–St. Paul.

The Goodhue Pioneer State Trail is a multi-use recreational rail trail in southeastern Minnesota, USA. The 10 miles (16 km) of trail currently exist in two segments, separated by a six-mile (10 km) gap. The four-mile (6 km) northern segment is a paved trail running from Red Wing, Minnesota, to the Hay Creek section of the Richard J. Dorer Memorial Hardwood State Forest near Hay Creek Township. The 5.5-mile (8.9 km) southern section is a natural-surface trail running northward from the Zumbrota Covered Bridge Park in Zumbrota, Minnesota. The trail corridor follows an abandoned Chicago Great Western Railway segment that was originally built by the Duluth, Red Wing, & Southern Railroad in 1888, and abandoned in 1964 following a derailment.

The Zumbrota Public Library was the first tax-supported library in the state of Minnesota. It is a mid-size public library, located in the city of Zumbrota, 50 miles (80 km) south of Minneapolis–Saint Paul on the Highway 52 corridor. Over 4,000 people are registered borrowers. The collection has approximately 51,000 items on file, with an annual circulation of approximately 120,000 items.
The Northfield Public Library is a public library in Northfield, Minnesota. It is a member of Southeastern Libraries Cooperating, of the Southeast Minnesota library region. The Carnegie Library was built in 1910 with a major addition built in 1985. The library was renovated from 2015 to 2016, with library services moving temporarily to City Hall during that time. The library reopened in its original location on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

The Great River Ridge State Trail is a multi-use recreational rail trail in southeastern Minnesota, United States. It is planned to run 15 miles (24 km) from the city of Plainview through Elgin to Eyota on the former right-of-way of a branch line of the Chicago and North Western Railway. Currently the final two miles (3.2 km) leading into Eyota are incomplete, but the rest of the route is paved and, south of Elgin, includes a parallel unpaved trackway for horseback riders and snowmobiles. An extension providing access to Carley State Park is also planned.
