West Sussex Invitation Cricket League

The West Sussex Invitation Cricket League is a cricket competition in West Sussex, England. [1] It was created by the merger of the West Sussex Cricket League and the Sussex Invitation Cricket League. It is one of two feeder leagues to the Sussex Cricket League, the other being the East Sussex Cricket League.

Organization

The League is divided into 9 divisions of 9 teams and 1 division of 14 teams. The large size of the bottom division is due to the winding up of division 11 for the 2013 season. The League also hosts a Sunday Twenty20 competition [2] which runs for much of the season

The Littlehampton, Clapham and Patching Cricket Club is a cricket club in Littlehampton, West Sussex, England.

The Saffrons is a multi-purpose sports ground in Eastbourne, East Sussex. The ground is home to Eastbourne Cricket Club, Eastbourne Town Football Club, Eastbourne Hockey Club and Compton Croquet Club. There is also a sand dressed astroturf pitch. The sports ground is located on the edge of Eastbourne town centre, next to the town hall and is in easy reach of local transport links. The ground was first used in 1884. Sussex County Cricket Club played some of their matches there between 1896 and 2000, and recently from 2017.

East Preston Cricket Club is a well-established cricket club based in East Preston, West Sussex, England. They were founded in 1860.

Somerset County Cricket Club competed in four domestic competitions during the 2009 English cricket season: the first division of the County Championship, the Friends Provident Trophy, the first division of the NatWest Pro40 League and the Twenty20 Cup. The 2016 cricket season was the 117th in which the County Championship has been an official competition. The season began in March with a round of university matches, and continued until the conclusion of a round of County Championship matches in late September. Three major men's domestic competitions were contested: the 2016 County Championship, the 2016 Royal London One-Day Cup and the 2016 NatWest t20 Blast. Women's domestic cricket saw the launch of the Women's Cricket Super League, a new franchise competition, and the contesting of the Women's County Championship and Women's Twenty20 Cup.
