Hadleigh is an ancient market town and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. The town is situated next to the River Brett, between the larger towns of Sudbury and Ipswich. It had a population of 8,253 at the 2011 census. The headquarters of Babergh District Council were located in the town until 2017.

It was recorded in the Domesday Book as "Brunfort" or "Branfort". The River Gipping, runs at the bottom of the village and was a busy navigable waterway during the 19th century. A lock is still on the east of side of the village. The village has two churches; in the north west of the village on the B1067 road. Bramford railway station was originally on the Eastern Union Railway but closed in 1955.
