Western Star is an Australian butter and spreads brand founded in 1926 in the Western Districts of Victoria. Products are widely distributed across Australia and available in most supermarkets. The brand is owned by Fonterra. [1] [2] [3]

Founded in 1992, it was a leading milk powder brand in China, but declined in the recent years. In March 2015, Fonterra Cooperative Group purchased 18.8% of Beingmate.
