Westside is an American music reality television show on Netflix. [1] The eight-episode first season [2] was released on November 9, 2018. [3] The series follows the journey of nine musicians [4] exploring the music industry, trying to break through and become stars. [5] As the cast members work to improve their notability, they work with producers and agents to create original music videos [6] and prepare for a nightclub performance in Los Angeles. [7]

The project is a groundbreaking documentary musical that chronicles the lives of nine performers. It features original songs written by nineteen Grammy Award–winning songwriters, each composition inspired by defining moments in the performers’ lives. Produced as a series of independent music videos, the pieces were later integrated into an eight-hour documentary presentation.
