Rutgers Preparatory School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory day school established in 1766. The school educates students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, located on a 41-acre (0.17 km2) campus along the banks of the Delaware and Raritan Canal in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. Established in 1766, Rutgers Preparatory School is the oldest independent school in the state of New Jersey and the 16th-oldest in the country.

Founded in 1856 with an original enrollment of five boys, Seton Hall Prep was originally located on the campus of Seton Hall University, where it became commonly known as "The Prep" as a way to distinguish it from "The University." In 1985, The Prep moved to its present location which was, at the time, West Orange High School. Seton Hall is the oldest Catholic college preparatory school in New Jersey.

Founded in 1996, Tempe Preparatory Academy offers a Great Books, core liberal arts curriculum centered on Western tradition, history, language, and literature. Its motto is Verum, Pulchrum, Bonum, meaning Truth, Beauty, Goodness. It is also the founding model for the Great Hearts Academies schools, with which it is otherwise unaffiliated. DePaul College Prep, is a Vincentian Catholic high school located in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is located on the north side of Chicago on its brand new 17-acre campus at 3300 N Campbell Ave. DePaul College Prep is sponsored by the Congregation of the Mission, Western Province, also known as the Vincentians. In 2012, a group of trustees and administrators of DePaul University was asked by the Archdiocese of Chicago and the priests and brothers of the Congregation of the Resurrection to assist Gordon Tech High School. As the academic partnership with DePaul University progressed, the school became DePaul College Prep in 2014.
Iona Preparatory School is an independent, Roman Catholic, all-male, college preparatory school located in the north end of New Rochelle, New York, in suburban Westchester County. Founded in 2002, and receiving its first charter approval from Chicago Public Schools in 2005, it operates the first all-male public charter high school in the United States. The network opened a second campus in 2009 and a third in August 2010. From 2010–2019, 100% of the seniors in the school's graduating classes were admitted to four-year colleges or universities.

Canyon View Preparatory Academy is a public charter high school in the town of Prescott Valley, Arizona. It opened in August 2011 in a new 29,000 square feet (2,700 m2) facility. It is operated by Westwind Children's Services dba Westwind Community Schools which operates Westwind Preparatory Academy in Phoenix and the Park View Middle School in Prescott Valley. It is a member of the Canyon Athletic Association. There are currently 140 students enrolled, with a total projected enrollment in five years of 400.
