White Oil Pipeline is an oil pipeline extending from Port Qasim to the Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) at Qasba Gujrat, Multan District, Punjab, Pakistan. [1]

Port Qasim

The Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, also known as Port Qasim, is a deep-water seaport in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, on the coastline of the Arabian Sea. It is Pakistan's second busiest port, handling about 35% of the nation's cargo. Port Qasim and Karachi Port, the busiest port of country, together handle more than 90% of all external trade of Pakistan.

Pak-Arab Refinery (PARCO) is a fully integrated energy company of Pakistan. It engages in refining, transporting and marketing petroleum products.

Qasba Gujrat is a small town in District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan. The coordinates of Qasba Gujrat are 30°15'3"N 71°29'12"E.

As of September 2000, Pak-Arab Refinery was the largest capacity refinery of 100,000 barrels per day (16,000 m3/d), costing US$ 886 million commissioned well within budget and a month ahead of schedule. The White Oil Pipeline transports imported oil from Port Qasim to Pak-Arab Refinery.

Kirkuk–Haifa oil pipeline

The Kirkuk–Haifa oil pipeline was a crude oil pipeline from the oil fields in Kirkuk, located in the former Ottoman vilayet of Mosul in northern Iraq, through Jordan to Haifa. The pipeline was operational between 1935 and 1948. Its length was about 942 kilometres (585 mi), with a diameter of 12 inches (300 mm), and it took about 10 days for crude oil to travel the full length of the line. The oil arriving in Haifa was distilled in the Haifa refineries, stored in tanks, and then put in tankers for shipment to Europe.

Petroleum industry in Iraq

Iraq was the world's 12th largest oil producer in 2009, and has the world's fifth largest proven petroleum reserves after Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Iran.
