Who Am I is the second full-length album from Western Australian hip hop artist, Drapht. It was released in June 2005 through Australian Hip Hop label, Obese Records. [2] [3] It was released both in CD and limited 2 LP vinyl format. The album features contributions by MC Layla, Dazastah (Downsyde) and Pressure (Hilltop Hoods). [4] Two songs from the album, "Drink Drank Drunk" and "The Music", received airplay on community radio stations and national youth broadcaster, Triple J, [5] and featured on national music video show, rage . "The Music" samples Living Jazz's version of "Walk On By" [6] and was selected by Triple J as a featured track for Ausmusic month in 2005. [7] The album has subsequently been included in the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) as part of The Art of Sound, a collaborative project between the NFSA and selected regional art galleries, which examines the intersections between sound and the visual arts. Reception

In a review of the album, Carmine Pascuzzi, describes it as a compilation of "soulful melodies and some heavy textures". He goes further to state "Drapht’s strong voice is most apparent and he can therefore accentuate the topics he pinpoints, be it social and political concerns. And he throws in some good humorous elements as well which makes for something personable to his public. His style switching will stand him in good stead as he advances his prowess as an MC." [10]

Clayton Bennett's review on the album comments that "Drapht has the flow and the skills. Dazastah makes hot beats. Alas despite these two surefire elements the official album Who Am I, the follow-up to Palerider, from Western Australian MC Drapht has some rough edges. Cheesy hooks and some overdone melodrama are pitfalls in an otherwise enjoyable release by the charismatic artist." Bennett goes on to state "Despite its downfalls Who Am I stands solid with diverse subject matter for a fifteen track album with the use of hooks hit and miss but the flows and lyrical ability are on point throughout." [11]

Hilltop Hoods is an Australian hip hop group that formed in 1996 in Blackwood, Adelaide, South Australia. They are regarded as pioneers of the "larrikin-like" style of Australian hip hop. The group was founded by Suffa and Pressure, who were joined by DJ Debris after fellow founder, DJ Next, left in 1999. The group released its first extended play, Back Once Again, in 1997 and have subsequently released eight studio albums, two "restrung" albums and three DVDs.

When the Dust Settles is the third full-length album from Australian hip hop group, Downsyde and was released in December 2004 through Obese Records. It was produced by band members Optamus, Dazastah, Cheeky and Armee. All tracks were recorded and mixed at various members' homes except for flutes on "Bring It All Black" and "Arabian Knights", which were recorded at Studio Couch in Fremantle, Western Australia.

"Sweet As Sugar" is the only single released by Australian rock band Grinspoon from their compilation album Best In Show. It was released in October 2005 as a digital download by Universal Music Australia. The song polled at number 42 on Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2005.

Burn City is an album released by Australian hip hop artist MC Pegz on 15 October 2007. This recording features appearances from Australian MCs Drapht, Funkoars, Muph, Vents and others. Californian MC Planet Asia also collaborates on the track "Diligent Music". It peaked at No. 70 on the ARIA Album Chart, No. 10 on the ARIA Urban Album Chart and No. 4 on the ARIA Hitseekers Albums chart. The album's tracks were featured on national radio station, Triple J. According to Khalil Hegarty of The Age declared that Pegz "has made the Australian hip-hop scene his own." During 2008 he toured Australia to promote the album.

Layla Rose Hanbury, known mononymously as Layla, is an Australian hip hop singer-songwriter and MC from Perth. In January 2005 she released her debut solo album, Heretik, on Obese Records. She is a member of Syllabolix (SBX) Crew, with other MCs including her husband, Dazastah. The couple also perform as Layla and Dazastah. During September and October 2011 the duo were a support act for another SBX artist, Drapht, on his Australia-wide Party Party Party Tour.

Leigh Ryan, better known by the stage name Plutonic Lab or sometimes as Pluto is an Australian music producer, engineer, artist & performer.

Robert Alan Hunter, better known as Hunter or Huntz, was an Australian rapper and hip hop artist. He was a founder of Perth's hip hop scene in the 1990s and a member of the MC collective Syllabolix (SBX) Crew. During his career, he released four albums: Done DL (2002), Going Back to Yokine (2006), Monster House (2010) and Fear and Loathing (2011).

The discography of Australian hip hop group Hilltop Hoods consists of seven studio albums, one compilation albums, six extended plays (EPs), twenty-four singles and three DVDs. Their debut studio album A Matter of Time was released independently in 1999.
