Pestilence is a Dutch death metal band from Enschede, founded in 1986. After disbanding in order to pursue other musical directions in 1994, Pestilence reunited in 2008, and was put on a "permanent hold" in July 2014. However, the band reunited once again in October 2016. To date, the band has released eight studio albums.
The Acacia Strain is an American metalcore band from Chicopee, Massachusetts. The group was formed in 2001 and has gone through several lineup changes; vocalist Vincent Bennett is the only current original member. Prior to his leaving guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz was the most recent original member to depart, remaining with The Acacia Strain until 2013.
Converge is an American hardcore punk band formed by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts in 1990. During the recording of their seminal fourth album Jane Doe, the group became a four-piece with the departure of guitarist Aaron Dalbec and the addition of bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller. This lineup has remained intact since. They have released nine studio albums, three live albums, and numerous EPs. The band's sound is rooted in both hardcore punk and heavy metal, and they are considered pioneers of metalcore as well as its subgenre mathcore.
Emil Werstler is an American guitarist and musician based in Atlanta, Georgia, who is perhaps best known for his work with metal and gypsy jazz. Werstler became lead guitarist for the metal band Dååth in 2004, and their second album The Hinderers peaked at No. 49 on the Top Heatseekers chart in 2007. In 2009 Dååth released The Concealers on Roadrunner, which reached No. 35 on Top Heatseekers and was placed as No. 3 on a list of the "top twenty metal albums of 2009" by Metal Sucks. In 2010 Werstler released the instrumental metal album Avalanche of Worms as a collaboration with Eyal Levi, with the album receiving a largely positive response for its musicianship and experimental nature.
The Faceless are an American death metal band from the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. They released their debut album, Akeldama in November 2006, and a follow-up, Planetary Duality, in November 2008. The band's third album, Autotheism, was released on August 14, 2012. On December 1, 2017, the band released their fourth album, In Becoming a Ghost. It was their first album in over half a decade.
Nekrogoblikon is an American melodic death metal band based in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 2006, by Tim Lyakhovetskiy and Nicky Calonne. The band has released four full-length albums, Goblin Island, Stench, Heavy Meta, and Welcome to Bonkers and one EP, Power. The band's music centers around goblins.
Periphery is an American progressive metal band based in Washington, D.C., formed in 2005. Their musical style has been described as progressive metal, djent, and progressive metalcore. They are considered one of the pioneers of the djent movement within progressive metal. The band consists of vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern.
Kvelertak are a Norwegian heavy metal band from Stavanger, formed in 2007. The group currently comprises vocalist Ivar Nikolaisen, guitarists Vidar Landa, Bjarte Lund Rolland and Maciek Ofstad, bassist Marvin Nygaard and drummer Kjetil Gjermundrød. Founding member and lead singer Erlend Hjelvik left the group in 2018, being replaced by Ivar Nikolaisen. Kvelertak have Norwegian lyrics and their main influences are rock and roll, black metal and punk rock.

Tesseract are a British progressive metal band from Milton Keynes, England. The band, formed in 2003, consists of Daniel Tompkins, Alec "Acle" Kahney, James Monteith, Amos Williams, and Jay Postones. The band is currently signed to Kscope. They are credited as one of the bands to pioneer the djent movement in progressive metal. As of 2018, Tesseract have released four studio albums: One, Altered State, Polaris, and Sonder, as well as a live album, Odyssey/Scala, and the extended plays Concealing Fate, Perspective and Errai.

Rings of Saturn is an American deathcore band from the Bay Area, California. The band was formed in 2009 and was originally just a studio project. However, after gaining a wide popularity and signing to Unique Leader Records, the band formed a full line-up and became a full-time touring band. Rings of Saturn's music features a highly technical style, heavily influenced by themes of alien life and outer space. They have released four full-length albums, with their third, Lugal Ki En, released in 2014 and peaking at 126 on the American Billboard 200 chart while their fourth, Ultu Ulla was released in 2017 and peaked at 76 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's highest peak to date.
Corelia was a metal band hailing from San Diego, California. The band was managed by Outerloop Management until October 2016. Corelia have released two EPs, Nostalgia (2011), and Nostalgia (2012).). The band has caused controversy with their failure to produce a debut album as they had raised over $30,000 via crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, but have presented little to no evidence of an upcoming album. Due to the lack of updates, or any media presence at all, Corelia is believed to be disbanded.

Ne Obliviscaris are a six-piece progressive metal band from Melbourne. Formed initially as a four-piece in April 2003, the group was founded by Xenoyr and Adam Cooper. The current line-up comprises vocalist Xenoyr, violinist and clean vocalist Tim Charles, guitarists Matt Klavins and Benjamin Baret, bassist Martino Garattoni and drummer Daniel Presland. To date, the band has released a demo, two extended plays and three studio albums. Their most recent album, Urn, was released on 27 October 2017.
Surgical Remission/Surplus Steel is an EP by English death metal band Carcass. The EP consists of songs recorded during the sessions for previous album Surgical Steel and was released on 11 November 2014 through Nuclear Blast.
In Becoming a Ghost is the fourth studio album by The Faceless. It was released on December 1, 2017 through Sumerian Records. It is the only album with Abigail Williams' Ken Sorceron on vocals, The Zenith Passage's Justin McKinney on guitar and Chason Westmoreland, formerly of Hate Eternal, on drums. Westmoreland left the band shortly before the album was released. Soceron, McKinney, and drummer Bryce Butler would depart the band less than four months later. Michael Keene tracked the bass on the entire album by himself. This is also the first The Faceless LP to feature songs recorded with Drop A tuning using seven string guitars. It is their first full-length release in five years, the last being 2012's Autotheism.
Entheos are an American progressive metal supergroup formed in 2015 by ex-members of Animosity. It is known as the reincarnation of the previous band mentioned, including that some of the members were part of well known groups such as Animals as Leaders, The Faceless, Continuum, Conflux and Son Of Aurelius. They released their debut EP, Primal, in March 2015, which is considered by fans as what could have been Veil of Maya if Chaney Crabb were selected to be the vocalist in that band in a contest in 2014; and their debut album, The Infinite Nothing, in April 2016. The band announced their return to the studio in March 2017, and released their most recent album, Dark Future, in November of the same year.
Solipsist is the debut studio album by Bay Area technical death metal band The Zenith Passage. It was released via Unique Leader Records on April 15, 2016. It is the band's first release for Unique Leader Records, with whom they signed in 2013. The album focuses on the concept of solipsism. The album features a guest vocal appearance by Fallujah’s Alex Hofmann, and guitar solo by Wes Hauch. The cover art was done by Ken Sarafin, who had also worked with Skinless, The Kennedy Veil, and Archspire. Per figures provided by Metal news site MetalInsider, the album sold 720 units in its first week.
