William Elijah Funn (born March 13, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. [1] In 2005, he led the NCAA Division I in assists per game, with 8.0, and helped Portland State win the Big Sky Conference championship. [2] [3] Funn then played in the American Basketball Association and was named an All-Star in 2006 and 2007. [2]

The Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing the University of Michigan. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Wolverines play home basketball games at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michigan has won one NCAA Championship as well as two National Invitation Tournaments (NIT), 15 Big Ten Conference titles and two Big Ten Tournament titles. In addition, it has won an NIT title and won a Big Ten Tournament that were vacated due to NCAA sanctions. The team is coached by Juwan Howard.

The 2004–05 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 10, 2004, progressed through the regular season and conference tournaments, and concluded with the 2005 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament Championship Game on April 4, 2005 at the Edward Jones Dome in Saint Louis, Missouri. The North Carolina Tar Heels won their fourth NCAA national championship with a 75–70 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini.

Double-double Statistic in basketball

In basketball, a double-double is a single-game performance in which a player accumulates ten or more in two of the following five statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. The first "double" in the term refers to the two (double) categories and the second "double" refers to accumulating ten or more in that category. Similarly, a player records a triple-double, quadruple-double, and quintuple-double when accumulating ten or more in three, four, or all five of the statistical categories, respectively. While double-doubles and triple-doubles occur regularly each NBA season, only four quadruple-doubles have ever officially been recorded in the NBA, and a quintuple-double has never officially been recorded at the professional, collegiate, or even high school boys' level. A similar coined term is the five-by-five, is the accumulation of at least five in all five statistical categories.

David Holston is an American professional basketball player for JDA Dijon Basket of France's LNB Pro A. He played college basketball at the Chicago State University (CSU). In 2019, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the French LNB Pro A.

Anthony Manuel is an American former basketball player. He grew up in Chicago, Illinois and played basketball at Crane High School. He then played for Bradley University from 1985 to 1989 and holds school records for most assists in a season and in a career (855). He was the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year in 1989.

Jason Alexander Brickman is a Filipino-American basketball player who played for the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He completed his college career for the Long Island University Blackbirds after the 2013–14 season. Brickman was considered one of the best passers in the nation according to ESPN analyst Jay Bilas. Of Brickman, Bilas said "He really understands angles very well. He gets the ball to (LIU's) best players, and he does a really nice job of managing the game. An excellent passer." Brickman led NCAA Division I in assists per game as a junior with an 8.52 average, then repeated in 2013–14 with a 10.00 per game average. He is one of only four players in Division I history to record 1,000 assists.

Tony A. Fairley is an American former basketball player. He formerly held the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I record for recording the most assists in a single game with 22. He shares this record with Syracuse's Sherman Douglas, Southern's Avery Johnson, and Oklahoma's Trae Young. Fairley had his 22-assist game on February 9, 1987, against Armstrong State College. Incidentally, Fairley also recorded 10 steals in that game as well – one of two times when he grabbed 10 steals in a game, which are Charleston Southern University records. In 1986–87, his senior season at Charleston Southern, Fairley also led Division I in steals with a 4.07 per game average.

2018–19 Eastern Michigan Eagles mens basketball team American college basketball season

The 2018–19 Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Michigan University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by eighth-year head coach Rob Murphy, played their home games at the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 15–17, 9–9 in MAC play to finish in third place in the West Division. They lost in the first round of the MAC Tournament to Ball State.

2019–20 NCAA Division I mens basketball season

The 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 5, 2019. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020. The 2020 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was scheduled to end in Atlanta on April 6, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. Practices officially began in late September.
