At retirement,he was the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket,next only to Sachin Tendulkar,and the sixth-highest run scorer in Test cricket.
Justin Lee Langer is an Australian cricket coach and former cricketer. He is the former coach of the Australia men's national team,having been appointed to the role in May 2018 and leaving in February 2022. A left-handed batsman,Langer is best known for his partnership with Matthew Hayden as Australia's test opening batsmen during the early and mid-2000s,considered one of the most successful ever. Representing Western Australia domestically,Langer played English county cricket for Middlesex and also Somerset. He holds the record for the most runs scored at first-class level by an Australian.

Founded in 1875,Somerset was initially regarded as a minor county until official first-class status was acquired in 1895. Somerset has competed in the County Championship since 1891 and has subsequently played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club's limited overs team was formerly named the Somerset Sabres,but is now known only as Somerset.

Hampshire teams formed by earlier organisations,principally the Hambledon Club,always had first-class status and the same applied to the county club when it was founded in 1863. Because of poor performances for several seasons until 1885,Hampshire then lost its status for nine seasons until it was invited into the County Championship in 1895,since when the team have played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. Hampshire originally played at the Antelope Ground,Southampton until 1885 when they relocated to the County Ground,Southampton until 2000,before moving to the purpose-built Rose Bowl in West End,which is in the Borough of Eastleigh. The club has twice won the County Championship,in the 1961 and 1973 seasons.
Steven Michael Davies is an English first-class cricketer,a left-handed batsman who plays for Somerset. He bats in the middle order in first-class cricket and opens in limited-overs. He started as a wicket-keeper,playing ODI and Twenty20 cricket in this role for England and has stated a desire to return to this position.

He played for Ireland in Tests,One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals,with his first appearance for the national side coming in 2005. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland's first ever Test match,against Pakistan,in May 2018. In June 2018,he was named captain of Ireland's T20I side,a role he held until November 2019. On 19 March 2021,Wilson announced his retirement from professional cricket.

Alex George Wakely is an English former cricketer who played for Northamptonshire and was also a former captain of the England under-19s. He is a right-hand batsman,bowls off-breaks and sometimes medium pace bowling. In May 2021,Wakely announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
Alistair Duncan Brown,commonly known as Ali Brown,is a former English cricketer who played for Surrey County Cricket Club,before moving to Nottinghamshire for the 2009 season. He was nicknamed "Lordy",in allusion to Ted Dexter because of his aggressively big-hitting,confident batting style. He was a right-hand bat and occasional right-arm off-break bowler,who made 16 One Day International appearances for England between 1996 and 2001,with a best of 118.
In 2016,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,the Royal London One-Day Cup and the NatWest t20 Blast. The season was the fifth,and last,in charge for head coach Jimmy Adams and the first for new club captain Sam Northeast,who took over from Robert Key at the end of the 2015 season,having captained the side on the field for much of the season.
The 2019 Marylebone Cricket Club University Matches were a series of cricket matches that were played between the eighteen County Championship teams and the six Marylebone Cricket Club University teams (MCCU) of England and Wales. The first two rounds of fixtures were classed as first-class matches. Each county side played one fixture against an MCCU side ahead of the start of the 2019 County Championship.
In 2019 Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division One of the County Championship after gaining promotion in the 2018 season,the Royal London One-Day Cup and the 2019 t20 Blast.
In 2022,Kent County Cricket Club competed in the 2022 County Championship,the 2022 One-Day Cup and the 2022 T20 Blast. The season was the sixth in charge for head coach,and former player,Matthew Walker. Sam Billings retained the club captaincy that he was first awarded in 2018. Daniel Bell-Drummond and Jack Leaning was named as vice-captains for limited overs and first-class matches,respectively.
