Will Z. is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer and record producer from Belgium, leader of Cosmic Trip Machine and Black Moon Tape, and producer of Book of AM with the Psychedelic folk band Can am des puig and Daevid Allen from Gong.

Biography

In 2008, Will Z. founded Cosmic Trip Machine and recorded four albums, Lord Space Devil, Vampyros Roussos, The Curse of Lord Space Devil and Golden Horus Name for the Berlin-based Nasoni Records, [3] home of Earthling Society, Vibravoid, Space Invaders & Nik Turner... In March 2016, Iggy Pop broadcast three extracts of Golden Horus Name on his BBC Radio 6 Music show [4]

During Golden Horus Name sessions, Will Z. helped the Psychedelic folk band Can am des puig, formed in 1977 in Deià, to finish their four parts project and worked with Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth from Gong [5] before launching a solo career.

His first solo album, Shambhala Album, inspired by meditation is recorded, produced and distributed in 10 days. In 2013, Will Z. worked on 12 Visions, based on Là-bas by French novelist Joris-Karl Huysmans [6] and Dark Tales, inspired by Syd Barrett and the first Black Sabbath albums. Will Z. used Korg MS-20 plugged in Turbo RAT effects pedal to create Drone metal ambiances. [7]

After the release of his next album, New Start, with the first posthumous appearances of Daevid Allen and Carmeta Mansilla, lead singer of Can AM Des Puig, on an album, [8] Will Z. performed in 2015 during concerts in Belgium and Germany with guests like Sharron Kraus and Alice Artaud. [9] He wrote his last solo album in 2016, A New Mirrored You, inspired by La Vita Nuova, a text by Dante Alighieri.

In June 2017, Will Z. founded his new band Black Moon Tape and recorded another Concept album with songs written during 20 years and left unfinished. [10] The album was available for download in several digital music stores, such as the iTunes Store with the help from Freaksville Records label. [11]

Kevin Ayers was an English singer-songwriter who was active in the English psychedelic music movement. Ayers was a founding member of the psychedelic band Soft Machine in the mid-1960s, and was closely associated with the Canterbury scene. He recorded a series of albums as a solo artist and over the years worked with Brian Eno, Syd Barrett, Bridget St John, John Cale, Elton John, Robert Wyatt, Andy Summers, Mike Oldfield, Nico and Ollie Halsall, among others. After living for many years in Deià, Mallorca, he returned to the United Kingdom in the mid-1990s before moving to the south of France. His last album, The Unfairground, was released in 2007. The British rock journalist Nick Kent wrote: "Kevin Ayers and Syd Barrett were the two most important people in British pop music. Everything that came after came from them."

The Madcap Laughs is the debut solo album by the English singer-songwriter Syd Barrett. It was recorded after Barrett had left Pink Floyd in April 1968. The album had a lengthy recording history, with work beginning in May 1968, but the bulk of the sessions taking place between April and July 1969, for which five different producers were credited − including Barrett, Peter Jenner, Malcolm Jones, and fellow Pink Floyd members David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Among the guest musicians are Willie Wilson from Gilmour's old band Jokers Wild and several members of Soft Machine.

Terrastock is a music festival organised periodically by Phil McMullen, formerly editor of the Ptolemaic Terrascope and since 2005 the publisher of the Terrascope Online website. The event typically features independent bands playing psychedelic rock. It has been held on six occasions in the USA and once in London, UK.

Alan Davey is an English musician, best known as the former bassist with the rock band Hawkwind. He is the original bass player in Gunslinger which started in 1979 and is still the bass player and vocalist for Gunslinger. He was writing a new album for 2018 release on Cleopatra Records, as well as two solo albums for 2018 and 2019 release, and is also writing music for movies and TV shows. He has also played and recorded with Meads of Asphodel, Dumpy's Rusty Nuts, Spirits Burning, Bedouin (1998–2003). Alien Soundtracks is the second studio album by American rock band Chrome. It was released in 1977 by Siren Records.

Camera Obscura was a record label founded by Australian music journalist Tony Dale in 1996. Described by Dale as 'a conduit for the release of contemporary acid-folk, psych-pop and space-rock,' the label put out almost ninety releases over fourteen years, the vast majority of which were full-length CDs. Bands and musicians who released material on the label included the Green Pajamas, Patrick Porter, Abunai!, the Azusa Plane, Black Sun Ensemble, Sharron Kraus and Primordial Undermind. Dale formally discontinued the label in 2010, shortly before he died due to cancer.

Spirits Burning is a musical collective that features musicians associated with space rock and progressive rock, including input from members of Blue Öyster Cult, Clearlight, Gong, and Hawkwind. Spirits Burning is overseen by American composer/producer Don Falcone.

Kraus is a New Zealand experimental musician and composer. The New Zealand Listener called him "a national treasure" and "one of the most quietly important and interesting people making music in New Zealand". His music crosses the boundaries of electronic music, post-rock, no wave, space folk, noise pop, punk rock and martian stomp.
