As of March 2024,police in Australia claim to have dismantled the remnants of the notorious Alameddine crime gang after a series of raids led to over a dozen arrests,including rapper Ali "Ay Huncho" Younes. A 250-officer operation in south-west Sydney at 3 a.m. on Wednesday targeted a major drug network following the shutdown of 26 "drug-run phones" linked to over 50,000 users. Authorities believe they have "eradicated" the gang's presence in the country.
