William White (born 30 October 1953) is a Guyanese cricketer. He played in twelve first-class and eight List A matches for Guyana from 1976 to 1985. [1]
White began playing cricket in the late 1960s at the YMCA. He was scouted for the Demerara cricket team as well as Guyana's under-19 in 1971 and 72. He played for Sheldon Cricket Club (England) in 1983 and Pembroke Cricket Club in 1984. He earned 5 wicked and 30 runs in his final game for Guyana, earning him a 'man-of-the-match' award. [2]
Upon emigrating to the US in 1985, he joined the Atlantis Cricket Club in New York, where he earned an honorary lifetime membership in 2014 for his nearly 25 years of service.
White's brother in-law is Clive Lloyd.
Sir Clive Hubert Lloyd CM is a Guyanese-British former cricketer and captain of the West Indies cricket team. Lloyd is widely regarded as one of the greatest captains of all time. As a boy he went to Chatham High School in Georgetown. At the age of 14 he was captain of his school cricket team in the Chin Cup inter-school competition. One of his childhood memories is of sitting in a tree outside the ground overlooking the sightscreen watching Garry Sobers score two centuries for West Indies v Pakistan. Lloyd captained the West Indies in three World Cups, winning in 1975 and 1979 while losing the 1983 final to India.
Shivnarine "Shiv" Chanderpaul CCH is a Guyanese cricket coach and former captain of the West Indies cricket team. Considered one of the greatest batsmen of his era, Chanderpaul is the 10th highest run scorer of all time in International cricket and the 9th highest in Test cricket. Chanderpaul was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy, and in the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy Final, he had the highest contribution for West Indies with the bat, scoring 47 runs.

The side does not take part in any international competitions, but rather in inter-regional competitions in the Caribbean, such as the Regional Four Day Competition and the Regional Super50), and the best players may be selected for the West Indies team, which plays international cricket. He played the role of cricketer Larry Gomes in the Bollywood film 83.
Courtney Alexander Gonsalves was a Guyanese cricketer who played a single first-class match for Essequibo in the final of the 1980–81 inter-county Jones Cup, and also represented the Guyanese national side in the 1980–81 limited-overs Geddes Grant/Harrison Line Trophy. He later coached the Canadian national under-19 team.
