Willies Ice Cream

Willies Ice Cream is a homemade ice cream company in central Trinidad and Tobago. It was founded in 1986 by Wilbur "Willie" Balgobin in Chaguanas. It is one of the largest in Trinidad and is exported throughout the Caribbean and North America.

The ice cream is made using the batch process and does not contain any artificial ingredients.[ citation needed ] Being produced with natural flavours including the tropical flavors of coconut, mango, soursop.

The ice cream has been quoted as being considered "super premium". [1]

On July 3, 2014, founder Wilber Balgobin died. [2]

It is located at Boundary Road, San Juan, Trinidad. It was distributed to retail outlets and also exported to other Caribbean Islands as well. Flavorite Foods acquired Romike Ltd in 2012.

Anand Ramlogan is a member of the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago, England & Wales and the British Virgin Islands. He is the founder and head of Freedom Law Chambers which is based in the city of San Fernando, Trinidad. He served as junior counsel to the late Sir Fenton Ramsahoye QC in whose footsteps he followed to become the Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago during the period 28 May 2010 – 2 February 2015. As Attorney General, he was also the titular head of the bar.

The NGC Bocas Lit Fest is the Trinidad and Tobago literary festival that takes place annually during the last weekend of April in Port of Spain. Inaugurated in 2011, it is the first major literary festival in the southern Caribbean and largest literary festival in the Anglophone Caribbean. A registered non-profit company, the festival has as its title sponsor the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC). Other sponsors and partners include First Citizens Bank, One Caribbean Media (OCM), who sponsor the associated OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, CODE, and the Commonwealth Foundation.

Philip Louis Ulric Cross was a Trinidadian jurist, diplomat and Royal Air Force (RAF) navigator, recognised as possibly the most decorated West Indian of World War II. He is credited with helping to prevent some two hundred bombers from being shot down in a raid over Germany in 1943. He subsequently studied law at London's Middle Temple, and went on to fulfil a distinguished international career as a jurist across Africa and within Trinidad and Tobago. He also served as a diplomat for Trinidad and Tobago to the United Kingdom.

Nicholas Pooran is a Trinidadian cricketer who currently represents the West Indies cricket team in limited overs formats and occasionally serves as the team's captain. He also competes domestically for Trinidad and Tobago and plays for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Pooran made his international debut for the West Indies in September 2016. In May 2022, he was appointed captain of the West Indies limited-overs team. However, he stepped down from the captaincy in November 2022. Pooran has played 29 matches in the T10 format, scoring 953 runs in 28 innings. His highest score in T10 cricket is 101, and he has recorded 1 century and 7 half-centuries in the format.

Tariq Abdul Haqq was a Trinidad and Tobago athlete and Islamic State militant. A boxer and martial artist, he won a silver medal in boxing at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. He trained as a lawyer before travelling to Syria with his wife and sister in 2014 to join the Islamic State.
