Wolfgang Zelmer (born April 7, 1948, in Munich, Germany) is a German painter based in Ireland. He is best known for his modern mystical still life paintings and etchings.
Zelmer was born April 7, 1948, in Munich, Germany and studied in London at the Hampstead School of Art and Paris at the Académie Julian between 1968 and 1972. From 1975 he worked on colour etchings and lithographs in the studio of Josef Werner in Munich. Since 1980 he has maintained a second studio in Liguria, Italy. In the early 1980s, Zelmer used the portraits and anatomical drawings of artists such as Albrecht Dürer and Leonardo da Vinci or Caravaggio as references in his work. In 2000 he moved to Ireland, where he now lives and works. Since 1978 he has exhibited work in Berlin, Paris, New York City, Nice, Geneva, Sydney, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Brussels, Nuremberg, London and Munich.

Der Blaue Reiter is a designation by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc for their exhibition and publication activities, in which both artists acted as sole editors in the almanac of the same name, first published in mid-May 1912. The editorial team organized two exhibitions in Munich in 1911 and 1912 to demonstrate their art-theoretical ideas based on the works of art exhibited. Traveling exhibitions in German and other European cities followed. The Blue Rider disbanded at the start of World War I in 1914.
August Robert Ludwig Macke was a German Expressionist painter. He was one of the leading members of the German Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter. He lived during a particularly active time for German art: he saw the development of the main German Expressionist movements as well as the arrival of the successive avant-garde movements which were forming in the rest of Europe. As an artist of his time, Macke knew how to integrate into his painting the elements of the avant-garde which most interested him. Like his friend Franz Marc and Otto Soltau, he was one of the young German artists who died in the First World War.
Karl Christian Ludwig Hofer or Carl Hofer was a German expressionist painter. He was director of the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts.
Johnny Friedlaender was a leading German/French 20th-century artist, whose works have been exhibited in Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Japan and the United States. He has been influential upon other notable artists, who were students in his Paris gallery. His preferred medium of aquatint etching is a technically difficult artistic process, of which Friedlaender has been a pioneer.
Karl Hagedorn (1922–2005) was a German American painter, who worked on lithographs and etchings. He should not be confused with another artist of the same name, who was born in Berlin in 1889, settled in Manchester, England, in 1905, and died in 1969.

Through her work she is related with the concept of artists from the post-war modernity as well as the Nouveau Réalisme group of artists, such as Niki de Saint-Phalle, Jean Tinguely, Arman as well as Daniel Spoerri.
Wolfgang Kermer is a German art historian, artist, art educator, author, editor, curator of exhibitions, art collector and professor. From 1971 to 1984 he was repeatedly elected Rector of the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and thus the first scientific and at the same time youngest teacher in this position in the history of the university. Under his rectorate, the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart was reformed in 1975 and 1978 on the base of two new university laws of the State of Baden-Württemberg and thus, for the first time in its history, authorized to set up diplomas for all courses. One of the accents of his work was the promotion of talented graduates of the academy: In 1978 he organized the first of the so-called ″debutant exhibitions″, an ″unconventional contribution to the promotion of young people″, supported financially by the State of Baden-Württemberg.
