Worksoft, Inc. is a software testing company founded in 1998 and headquartered in Addison, Texas. The company provides an automation platform for test automation, business process discovery, and documentation supporting enterprise applications, including packaged and web apps. [2]

History

Worksoft was founded in 1998 by Linda Hayes, a co-founder of AutoTester, Inc, and was initially funded by a contract with Fidelity Investments for Y2K testing. Worksoft Certify was the first code-less automation tool designed for business analysts and is now a leader in the ERP automation industry. [3] Texas-based Austin Ventures and California-based Crecendo Ventures were major investors. [4] In 2010, Worksoft acquired TestFactory, a software testing company specializing in SAP. [5]

In 2019, Worksoft was acquired by Marlin Equity Partners for an undisclosed sum. [6]

Products

Worksoft Certify is a test automation platform focused on business process testing. [7] Worksoft Certify can be used to test ERP applications, web apps, mobile apps, and more. The software is SAP certified for integration with SAP applications. [8]

Other products include Worksoft Analyze, Worksoft Business Reporting Tool (BPP), Worksoft Execution Suite, and Process Capture 2.0.

The company claims to have produced the first commercial test tool for the PC. Founded in 1985, it was based in Dallas, Texas and achieved $14 million annual revenue by 1996. Randy and Linda Hayes departed from the company in 1994 and founded Worksoft, Inc. with their brother Ron Hayes and Gene Jones, another AutoTester employee. ATI revenues began to decline after 1996. As of June 2007 or earlier, AutoTester's phone was disconnected, and their website was taken offline in July 2007. Worksoft, Inc. has since become a leader in test automation for the ERP industry.
