The Smashing Pumpkins are an American alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1988 by frontman and guitarist Billy Corgan, bassist D'arcy Wretzky, guitarist James Iha, and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the band has undergone several line-up changes since their reunion in 2006, with Corgan being the sole constant member since its inception. The current lineup features Corgan, Chamberlin, and Iha.
Siamese Dream is the second studio album by American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins, released on July 27, 1993, on Virgin Records. The album was produced by Butch Vig and frontman Billy Corgan. Despite its recording sessions being fraught with difficulties and tensions, Siamese Dream debuted at number ten on the Billboard 200, and was eventually certified 4× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with the album selling over six million copies worldwide, catapulting the Smashing Pumpkins to mainstream success and cementing them as a significant group in alternative music.

It was released as the lead single from their 1995 double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, and is the sixth track on the first disc. This song was the band's first top-40 US hit, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also spent six weeks at number two on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and peaked at number four on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart. In Canada, the song peaked at number 18 on the RPM Top Singles chart and spent four weeks at number one on the RPM Alternative 30 chart, becoming Canada's most successful rock song of 1995. It also reached number one in Iceland for a week.

One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours is the second studio album by British post-hardcore band Fightstar, released on 24 September 2007 through Institute Recordings, itself a subsidiary of independent label Gut Records. Avenged Sevenfold is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, released on October 30, 2007, through Warner Bros. and Hopeless Records. Recorded in the middle of 2007, it is the band's first studio album to be solely self-produced. It is also their final studio album to feature The Rev performing on drums before his death in December 2009 during production of their follow-up album, Nightmare (2010). Originally slated for an October 16 release, it was delayed by two weeks in order to provide more time to complete bonus material and production for the record.

Each member of Black Tide was under 20 years of age during the recording of this album, making it very notable in the music industry. Three singles have been released from the album, "Shockwave", "Warriors of Time", and "Shout", respectively. Two music videos were produced for "Shockwave" and have aired on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. Frontman Gabriel Garcia was only a high school freshman and 14 years old when the album was written and recorded. The album was praised by critics and helped them win the 2008 Kerrang! Awards for "Best International Newcomer". The album features a Metallica cover of the song "Hit the Lights" from their debut album Kill 'Em All.

The band's style is rooted in classic rock of the 1980s, influenced by bands such as: Aerosmith, Skid Row, Metallica and Guns N' Roses. They first gained a modicum of fame via their Myspace site, when they uploaded early demos which were successfully received by fans.
The Dresden Codex is the second EP by alternative rock band Madina Lake and follow-up to their second studio album Attics to Eden from 2009. The release was self-produced after announcing that they had left their label, Roadrunner Records in April 2010. They subsequently set up an account on the website Pledgemusic to help fund the EP, which is sold to fans who have pledged as well as donating a percentage of the money raised to the Keep A Breast Foundation. On September 1, 2010, the band released "They're Coming for Me" to iTunes, after being recorded days before bassist Matthew Leone was attacked. The full EP was released on December 10, 2010, for download on Pledgemusic.

The Super Happy Fun Club is an American piano rock band from Chicago, Illinois, composed of local Chicago musicians who previously achieved minor to moderate success in the music industry. As such, its name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the disenchantment many musicians feel towards the music industry. This facetiously jocular attitude is conspicuous in many of the band's songs, while others are more serious reflections on the vicissitudes of life. The current members are Kaustubh "Stubhy" Pandav (vocals), Pat Gilroy, Jeremy Galanes, Phil Kosch, Dave Swick, and Chris Mason (drums).
Atum: A Rock Opera in Three Acts is the twelfth studio album by American rock band the Smashing Pumpkins. The album was released in three separate installments of 11 songs—Atum: Act One was released on November 15, 2022, Atum: Act Two was released on January 31, 2023, and Atum: Act Three was released on May 5, 2023. A physical box set consisting of all 33 songs, along with a group of 10 additional exclusive songs, was released in early May 2023. This is the band's final studio album to feature guitarist Jeff Schroeder, before his departure in October 2023.
