SM Station is a digital music project by South Korean record label SM Entertainment. It undertook to release one digital single every Friday starting from February 3, 2016. The project's first season ended on February 3, 2017, with 52 songs. Its second season began on March 31, 2017, and concluded on April 6, 2018, with a total of 57 songs. In 2022, it introduced NCT Lab, a sub-project dedicated to individual projects for NCT members.
"Rebirth" is a song originally written and recorded by South Korean singer and record producer Yoon Jong-shin for his fifth studio album Woo (Stupid) in April 1996. Originally a retro-influenced doo-wop record composed by both Yoon and songwriter You Hee-yeol, the song was later rearranged by singer-songwriter Henry Lau as part of his collaboration with Yoon Jong-shin for the V Live-exclusive show Snowball Project in 2017. Kim Chung-ha, known mononymously as Chungha, is a South Korean pop singer, dancer and choreographer. She finished fourth in Mnet's girl group survival show Produce 101, becoming a member of the resulting girl group I.O.I. Following the dissolution of I.O.I in 2017, Chungha debuted as a solo artist with the extended play Hands on Me.

On May 2, 2018, she debuted as the leader and rapper of the girl group (G)I-dle, for whom she has written and produced most title songs. She is also part of SM Station X girl group project Station Young and has portrayed League of Legends character Akali in the virtual musical groups K/DA and True Damage.
