Wunsiedel Marble (German : Wunsiedler Marmor) is a group of metamorphic carbonate rocks, which were, and are, mainly extracted in the German town Wunsiedel at several quarries. This Upper Franconian calcite marble occurs both in this region and beyond, particularly in Bavaria. It is found in a northern band (around Wunsiedel) and southern band (at Marktredwitz and Arzberg).

Marktredwitz station is at the junction of the Nuremberg–Cheb railway and the Munich–Hof railway. It celebrated the Horticultural Show 2006 in cooperation with Cheb.
Weißenstadt is a town in the district of Wunsiedel, in Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the shore of the picturesque Weißenstadter See, in the Fichtel Mountains, on the river Ohře, 11 km northwest of Wunsiedel. The town got its name "White City" from the landmark church, once white now weathered dark grey.
Schneeberg is the highest mountain in the Fichtel Mountains, a mountain range in Upper Franconia in northeast Bavaria, Germany. It can be readily identified from a distance by its squat tower - a relic of the Cold War. The summit comprises a jumble of granite rocks and a rock pillar (Felsburg) on which the Backöfele observation tower stands and is still dominated by the relics of military installations including its Cold War listening post.

Cotta Sandstone is found in the Elbe Valley and in its numerous tributary valleys. Its main deposit lies in the west of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, where it runs up to the Bohemian border, ending south of Pirna. It is named after the village of Cotta in the borough of Dohma, an area where the stone is quarried.
Posta Sandstone, also called Wehlen Sandstone, only occurs on the eastern banks of the River Elbe at Alte Poste, near Herrenleithe, Wehlen, Zeichen and Posta. The thickness of the deposit is between 30 and 50 metres. It is also known as Überquader and has the smallest deposit of all the Elbe sandstones. In 2008 it was being quarried in the areas around the village of Lohmen and in Wehlen.
Reinhardtsdorf Sandstone is quarried in the vicinity of Reinhardtsdorf near Pirna in the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge in the German Free State of Saxony. It is the so-called main sandstone of the Elbe sandstones, and was formed in the Middle Turonian. In 2008 there was one quarry that won this particular sandstone.

Forbach Granite, also called Raumünzach Granite (Raumünzach-Granit), is a type of granite rock that occurs in the Northern Black Forest. It is part of the Northern Black Forest's granitic massif, to which Bühlertal granite and Wildbad granite also belong. Forbach granite predominantly outcrops in the counties of Calw and Rastatt. The most important quarrying area for Forbach granite used to be the middle Murg valley near Forbach. Today it is only quarried near Raumünzach.
