The Pacific F2000 Racing series is designed to be the next step up for F1600 drivers with the introduction of wings, increased power, and larger racing tires. The suspension geometry of a modern F2000 car is as sophisticated as those in many more well known races and offers great training for drivers, engineers and mechanics. Because formula and not spec cars are used there are numerous chassis designs, multiple motors allowed, and as a result there is also great opportunity to test new designs.. At the same time, there are enough restrictions to keep costs in check. F2000 originated in England in 1974 and has helped spawn the careers of many of the sport’s top names. In North America, its alumni include Sam Hornish Jr., Buddy Rice, Paul Tracy, Jimmy Vasser, and Dan Wheldon. Graduates of PacificF2000 Racing since its inception in 2004 include J.R. Hildebrand, who won the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights Championship and drove the No. 4 National Guard car in the IZOD IndyCar Series; two-time IMSA prototype champion Dane Cameron; Jason Bowles, who won the 2011 NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway; and Thomas Merrill, 2022 Trans-Am TA2 Champion.
Michael Epps is a British/New Zealand racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2016 and 2017 for Team Hard. Due to budget issues, Michael was unable to continue in the series and raced the supporting Clio Cup in 2018 and Ginetta G55 in 2019.

The 2016 Mazda Road to Indy Shootout was the first edition of the Road to Indy Shootout. The event was held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on December 6 and 7. The winner received a $200,000 scholarship to compete in the 2017 U.S. F2000 National Championship.
Neil Verhagen is a racing driver from the United States of America. Verhagen is the youngest to win the SCCA National Championship Runoffs, having accomplished this in the Formula F category.
Trenton Estep is an American professional racing driver. Estep grew up racing karts from the age of 4 years old in New Braunfels, Texas. He competed in various karting competitions such as SKUSA Pro Tour, Florida Winter Tour, US Open and Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. In 2016 he made the transition from karts to open wheel cars. He entered the Formula Tour F1600, Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Series and Canadian F1600 Super Series winning two championships. He also ran in the opening round of the Redbull Global Rallycross Championship in Phoenix Arizona. In 2017 Estep made his transition from open wheel to cars in the North American Porsche GT3 Cup Series, with JDX Racing. Estep finished on podium 11 of 16 races with multiple wins placing 3rd in the Porsche GT3 Cup Championship. In 2018 he returned to the Porsche GT3 Cup series with JDX Racing with renewed sponsorship by Hertz Global along with a new sponsor Byers Porsche of Columbus Ohio. Estep went on to finish on Podium in 14 of 16 races winning the 2018 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Championship. A final honor to end his season was being chosen by Porsche Motorsports to attend the Porsche Junior Programme Shootout in Le Castellet at Circuit Paul Ricard. Estep was only 1 of 11 and the youngest at age 18 of the top Porsche drivers from all over the world under the age of 25 to receive the exclusive invite. At the end of the 2022 Porsche Carrera Cup North America season Trenton was chosen by Porsche Motorsport North America as a "Porsche Selected Driver" for 2023. Starting in 2019 through present Trenton is a professional driver coach and driver for MDK Motorsports based in Pataskala Ohio.
Colin Thompson is an American racing driver. After a career in single seaters, Thompson won the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Platinum Class in 2014 and the Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup in 2015. He is the son of 1989 American Racing Series driver John Thompson.
Scott Huffaker II is an American racing driver who competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, and FIA World Endurance Championship.
