Wyndham Edgar Evans (born 19 March 1951) is a Welsh football commentator and former player and manager.

Playing career

Born in Llanelli, Evans played as a right back. After playing as an amateur with Stoke City, Evans turned professional with Swansea City in February 1971, making 389 appearances in the Football League for them over two spells. [2] While at Swansea, Evans competed in all four divisions of the Football League. [3]

Management career

Evans had spells as player-manager of both Llanelli and Pembroke Borough, [2] before returning to manage Llanelli. [4] [5]

Media career

Evans later became a commentator for Swansea City's TV service. [6]

Personal life

His nephew is Stuart Roberts, who also played for Swansea. [4]

Llanelli Human settlement in Wales

Llanelli is the largest town in Carmarthenshire, the "Garden of Wales" and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. Located on the Loughor estuary 10.5 miles (16.9 km) north-west of Swansea and 12 miles (19 km) south-east of the county town, Carmarthen, it was a market town that became industrialised in the early 19th century as the global centre for tinplate production. Leon Britton

Leon James Britton is an English former professional footballer and coach. A midfielder, he spent most of his career with Swansea City, having joined Swansea on a permanent transfer in 2003. Britton went on to make 520 appearances for the club. He joined Sheffield United in the summer of 2010, but transferred back to Swansea in January 2011. Britton instantly became a central figure in Swansea's successful promotion campaign.
