X Is Loaded were a four-piece rock band from Bath, Somerset, England. [1]

As Tenner

They released the single "Where Do You Come from" [2] in June 2000 on Fierce Panda Records, and the EP single "Last Chance" in November 2000 on Food Records, under the moniker Tenner. [1] [3] [4] After recruiting a new drummer, they decided to change their name. The name X Is Loaded was chosen as an amalgamation of several ideas, but the real reason is known only to the band.

Releases and performances

They subsequently released the single "Massive Misguidance" with the label Bossmusic [5] in August 2002.

They moved over to Music For Nations in early 2004, and released five singles as well as the album Raw Nerve. [6]

Their March 2004 first single "Laugh, Point & Wave" [7] on the Music for Nations label went to number 1 on the Kerrang! TV video chart, and they received a great deal of play on MTV2, Xfm, and BBC 6 Music. After touring with bands such as Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, InMe, Yourcodenameis:milo, Million Dead, and Hell is for Heroes they released their third single, Thirteen Days, [8] in June 2004 and their debut album Raw Nerve in July. The album was critically acclaimed, receiving four K's and a very enthusiastic review in Kerrang!, [9] as well as in other respected on and offline publications. In November 2004 the band released the download-exclusive single "Racketeer". [9] [10]

X is Loaded disbanded in 2006. Afterward, however, the band released a posthumous single "Momentum Fails" in March 2007, [11] and a posthumous album Trench in April 2007, on Sugar Shack Records. [12]

Some members went on to form new projects, including Martino's Bristol-based post-pop band Kill Cassidy. [13]

Biffy Clyro are a Scottish rock band that formed in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, composed of Simon Neil, James Johnston, and Ben Johnston. Currently signed to 14th Floor Records, they have released nine studio albums, six of which reached the top five in the UK Albums Chart, with their sixth studio album, Opposites claiming their first UK No. 1 album. Three consecutive studio albums peaked at number one in the UK official albums chart. After their first three albums, the band expanded their following significantly in 2007 with the release of their fourth album, Puzzle, creating more mainstream songs with simpler rhythms and distancing themselves from the more unusual dissonant style present in their previous three albums. Puzzle peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart on 16 June 2007. The album went platinum in the UK in 2012, having sold over 300,000 copies. In the early 2010’s, they built up a reputation of being one of the biggest rock bands in the UK.

<i>Trench</i> (album) 2018 studio album by Twenty One Pilots

Trench is the fifth studio album by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots. It was released on October 5, 2018 through Fueled by Ramen. It was the band's first studio album in three years, after the breakthrough success of their previous album, Blurryface (2015). Recorded in secret during a year-long public silence, it is a concept album which explores mental health, suicide, and doubt, themes prominently featured in the band's previous works, framed in the metaphorical city of Dema and the surrounding valley known as "Trench". The album was also the first release of the newly revived Elektra Music Group.
