Xanthi FC Arena is a football ground built by Xanthi F.C. in Xanthi, Thrace, Greece. It was built over the course of ten months in 2004. It holds up to 7,244 spectators, with 80% of the seats under the roof. The stadium was built because of a disagreement between then FC Skoda Xanthi and the amateur club AO Xanthi. It is situated in an area where the club had built its training facilities (Xanthi Athletic Center). The stadium was officially inaugurated by the Brazilian legend Pelé on 12 May 2005. [1]
The stadium's official capacity is 7,244 (all seated). It only has three stands, the fourth was promised but this never materialised, so there are boards behind the goal at one end.
The stadium is located near Pigadia, a village 5 km east of Xanthi. This city is in the region of Thrace (230 km east of Thessaloniki).
The average attendance in the matches is about 1,500 people. The recorded peak attendance was 6,642 in a game against Panathinaikos on 20 January 2007, although the unofficial highest attendance is believed to be achieved against PAOK on 31 March 2019, when overcrowded PAOK fans flooded every corner of the stadium. It was built in 1925 by members of music and gymnastics association Megas Alexandros. The stadium holds about 7,000. It is situated 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) off the city centre. Record attendance is 10,309 for a game between Veria and Panathinaikos in 1970. However, during a game between Veria FC and PAOK FC there were about 12,000 fans, but most of them entered the stadium without a ticket. The stadium formerly held track races too but after the renovations in 2005 and 2007 the space for track runners was removed.

PAOK Academy is the football academy system of Greek professional football club PAOK consisting of eleven official youth teams, based on the young athletes' age. PAOK's U15, U17 and U20 teams all play in Greek Superleague's. Ιn 2016–17 season, U20 team participated in UEFA Youth League as a champion on official superleague U17 2015–16. This academy holds more than 280 young players, and also more than 50 people work there. The PAOK Academy maintains 16 training centers outside of Thessaloniki. These are in Athens, Didimoticho, Alexandroupoli, Komotini - Xanthi, Kilkis, Kavala, Drama, Kozani, Katerini, Lamia, Corfu, Rethymnon, Chios, Chalkidiki, Cyclades and Rhodes.
