Xorazm Stadium

Xorazm Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Urgench, Uzbekistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Xorazm FK Urganch. The stadium holds 25,000 people. [1]

Urgench is a district-level city in western Uzbekistan. It is the capital of Xorazm Region. The estimated population of Urgench in 2021 was 145,000, an increase from 139,100 in 1999. It lies on the Amu Darya River and the Shavat canal. The city is situated 450 km (280 mi) west of Bukhara across the Kyzylkum Desert. The history of the city goes back to the second half of the 19th century. The city should not be confused with the similarly named city of Konye-Urgench in Turkmenistan. The city of Old Urgench was left after the Amu Darya river changed its course in the 16th century, leaving the old town without water. New Urgench was founded by Russians in the second half of the 19th century at the site of a little trade station of the Khanate of Khiva.

The Sheikh Mukhtar-Vali Complex is a mausoleum located 5 km southwest of the town of Yangiariq, Xorazm Region, Uzbekistan. It was erected in the 16th century, above the grave of Sheikh Mukhtar-Vali.

Gurlan is a town and seat of Gurlan District in Xorazm Region in Uzbekistan. Shovot, also Shavat, is a town and seat of Shovot District in Xorazm Region in Uzbekistan. The town is located 37 km north-west of Urgench. It has a railway station on the line Turkmenabad - Beineu. The population was 20,600 in 1991, and 19,000 in 2016. It attained city status in 1981. It contains an Asphalt concrete plant.

The Urgench trolleybus system links Urgench, the capital city of Xorazm Region in western Uzbekistan, with the neighbouring city of Khiva. Since the closure of the Tashkent trolleybus system in 2010, it has been Uzbekistan's only trolleybus system.

Tuproqqalʼa District is a district of Xorazm Region in Uzbekistan. The seat lies at the city Pitnak. It was created in March 2020 out of the larger, eastern part of Hazorasp District. Its area is 1,920 km2 (740 sq mi), and it had 54,400 inhabitants in 2021.
