Yamaha Corporation, commonly known as Yamaha and stylized as YAMAHA, is a Japanese multinational corporation and conglomerate with a very wide range of products and services. It is one of the constituents of Nikkei 225 and is the world's largest musical instrument manufacturing company. The former motorcycle division was established in 1955 as Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., which started as an affiliated company but later became independent, although Yamaha Corporation is still a major shareholder.

The company was established in 1955 upon separation from Yamaha Corporation, and is headquartered in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan. The Yamaha YZF-R1 is a 1,000 cc (61 cu in) class sports motorcycle made by Yamaha. It was first released in 1998, undergoing significant updates in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2015.
The Yamaha YZF-R6 is a sport bike, produced by Yamaha as a 600 class from 1999 to 2020. From 2021, production availability is limited to race-only specification in most global markets, causing race organisers to re-align their engine eligibility criteria to encourage other manufacturers having larger than 600 cc displacements to enter road-race competition from 2022. Race organisers wanted to provide scope for alternative machinery to move away from established tradition of the Yamaha R6 being the dominant-marque in Supersport racing.
Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association, or JAMA, is a trade association with its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in April 1967 and serves as a platform for the automakers of Japan to share technological developments and management practices. There are currently 14 member companies, manufacturing not only cars, but trucks and motorcycles as well. The organization also deals with the manufacturing and distribution of vehicle parts around the world. Together, the companies of JAMA hold a vast share of the markets in the United States, Europe, and many developing countries. JAMA also has offices located in Beijing, Singapore, Washington, D.C., Toronto and Brussels, Belgium.
The Yamaha DT is a series of motorcycles and mopeds produced by the Yamaha Motor Corporation. Models in the DT series feature an engine displacement of 50 to 400 cc. The first DT model, the DT-1, was released in 1968 and quickly sold through its initial 12,000 production run.
The automotive industry in Pakistan is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country, growing by 171% between just 2014 and 2018. It accounts for 4% of Pakistan's GDP and employs a workforce of over 3.5 million people as of 2018. Pakistan is the 35th largest producer of automotives. Pakistan used to have a lot of Japanese cars in the 1990s and early 2000s. With the launch of the first Auto Policy in 2005, Pakistan launched its very first indigenous car Adam Revo but after the 2008 elections the dollar started depreciating and due to bad governance a lot of auto makers started to halt production and some even exited Pakistan. At present, the auto market is dominated by Honda, Toyota and Suzuki. However, on 19 March 2016, Pakistan passed a second "Auto Policy 2016-21", which offers tax incentives to new automakers to establish manufacturing plants in the country. In response, Renault, Nissan, Proton Holdings, Kia, SsangYong, Volkswagen, FAW and Hyundai have expressed interest in entering the Pakistani market. MG JW Automobile Pakistan has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Morris Garages (MG) Motor UK Limited, owned by SAIC Motor to bring electric vehicles in Pakistan. NLC signed an agreement with Mercedes Benz for the manufacturing of Mercedes Actros trucks in Pakistan. Pakistan has not enforced any automotive safety standards or model upgrade policies. A few old models of vehicles including the Bolan and Ravi continue to be sold by Suzuki. On 8 July 2021, Jolta Electric launched production of electric motorcycles.
The Yamaha TMAX series of maxi-scooters has been manufactured by Yamaha Motor Company for the European market since its debut at July 2000 press events in Naples, Italy and Iwata, Japan, combining motorcycle performance with the convenience and flexibility for commuting of a scooter.
The Yamaha YA-1 is the first motorcycle produced by the Yamaha Motor Company. It was made from 1955 to 1958. This was also the first vehicle in Japan to have a primary kick start system. The Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan(in Japanese), includes the 1955 Yamaha 125YA-1 as one of their 240 Landmarks of Japanese Automotive Technology.

The AG200 is a motorcycle made by Yamaha for use in agriculture, military, humanitarian aid and other rural professional use. It is only available in select markets, including Africa, Australia, Latin America and New Zealand.
The Yamaha AG100 is a Yamaha motorcycle introduced in 1973 for use in agriculture, humanitarian aid and other rural professional use. It is only marketed in select regions, and is popular in Africa, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. Initial advertisements described it as, "built tough for tough Australian farm use". The bike has a single cylinder two-stroke engine, with five gears, and weighs 99 kg (218 lb) dry.
The Yamaha CT2 was an early version of the popular 175cc Trail/Enduro motorcycle. The CT2 followed on from the CT1C, and was superseded by the CT3. There are only minor differences between each version.
