Yasin Merchant, born 17 December 1966 is India's first professional snooker player. He won the National Snooker championships on 3 occasions, in 2001, 2000 and 1991. He was honoured by Khar Gymkhana which has named its snooker hall after him as Yasin Merchant Snooker Hall. [1]
Pankaj Arjan Advani is an Indian billiards and snooker player. He is a 23 time world champion. He has won the IBSF World Billiards Championship 15 - times, the World Team Billiards Championship 1 - time, the IBSF World Snooker Championship 3 - times, 2 - times, the IBSF World Team Cup 1 - time and the IBSF World Team Championship - 1 time.
Geet Siriram Sethi of India is a professional player of English billiards who dominated the sport throughout much of the 1990s. He is also a notable amateur (ex-pro) snooker player. He is a five-time winner of the professional-level and a three-time winner of the amateur world championships, and holder of two world records, in English billiards. Along with Prakash Padukone, Sethi has co-founded Olympic Gold Quest, a foundation for the promotion of sports in India.
Paul Alan Hunter was an English professional snooker player. He was a three-time Masters champion, winning the event in 2001, 2002, and 2004, recovering from a deficit in the final to win 10–9 on all three occasions. He also won three ranking events: the Welsh Open in 1998 and 2002, and the British Open in 2002. During the 2004–05 snooker season, he attained a career-high ranking of number four in the world.
