Yei Joint Stars FC is a professional women's football club in Yei, South Sudan. [1] [2] [3] The team is a founding member of the South Sudan Women's National League, which was launched by the South Sudan FA in 2019. [4] The Yei Joint Stars FC participated in the CAF Women's Champions League CECAFA competition in 2021 and 2022. [5]

The Zanzibar women's national football team, nicknamed the "Zanzibar Queens", is the women's representative team from Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania. Founded in 1988, the team has limited recognition as the regional governing body, the Zanzibar Football Association, is a full member of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) and Confederation of African Football (CAF), but Zanzibar Football Association is not recognised by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) as an independent national association. The South Sudan Football Championship is the top division of the South Sudan Football Association. The first season started in 2011 after the independence of South Sudan. Seven provincial champions entered and Al-Salam FC won. They went on to represent South Sudan in the 2012 Kagame Interclub Cup of CECAFA. Atlabara won the second championship in 2013, then participated in the 2014 CAF Champions League.

The South Sudan National Cup is an annual knockout association football competition in men's domestic South Sudanese football. Organized by the South Sudan Football Association, the cup began in 2012, not long after South Sudan gained independence.

Rivers United Football Club is a Nigerian professional football club based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, that participates in the Nigerian Professional Football League, the highest level of domestic Nigerian football.
