The Yellow Warehouse (Danish: Det Gule Pakhus), is an 18th-century warehouse located at Toldbodgade 38 on the Larsens Plads waterfront in Copenhagen, Denmark.

History

The warehouse was built by Georg Erdman Rosenberg in 177783 for the Royal Greenland Company. [1] It was listed in 1944 but severely damaged in a fire in 1968. [2] It was restored by professor Hans Munk Hansen in the late 1970s. [3]

Current use

The building has been converted into apartments.

Larsens Plads is a waterfront in Copenhagen, Denmark, which runs along the Zealand side of the main harbour from the Nyhavn canal in the south to the Nordre Toldbod area just south of Langelinie to the north. The name refers to a shipyard which used to occupy the grounds but is now more associated with emigration to America after it became a major hub for trans-Atlantic traffic later in the century. It is dominated by Amalienborg Palace with the Amalie Garden and a number of late 18th-century warehouses which have been converted to other uses. Grøns Pakhus is a former warehouse and retail establishment located on Holmens Kanal in the Gammelholm neighbourhood of central Copenhagen, Denmark. Opened by M.E. Stykgodspakhuset, or Pakhus 13, is a former warehouse and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The warehouse was built in 1926 and was listed in the Danish national registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 4 April 2006. The warehouse is situated on the water front of the Port of Aarhus in the central Indre by neighbourhood next to the Custom House and has functioned as a storehouse for parcels and other small cargo since completion to the mid 20th century. The building is today used for offices after extensive renovation in 2007.

The Snorrebroens Pakhus, located at Overgaden Neden Vandet 45–47, is a former warehouse overlooking Christianshavn Canal in the Christianshavn neighbourhood of Copenhagen, Denmark. It consists of what was originally two individual but almost identical warehouses from circa 1800 which were merged into one building in the 1860s and has now been converted into apartments. The name, which is of modern origins, refers to Snorrebroen, the bridge that carries nearby Sankt Annæ Gade across the canal.

The Queen's Warehouse is a two-storey, half-timbered warehouse situated on the harbourfront in Nakskov on the island of Lolland in southeastern Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1965.
