Yemi Adaramodu is a Nigerian politician who is the senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district in the 10th Senate on the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress. He was chief of staff to the governor of Ekiti State and was later elected to the Federal House of Representatives. [1]
Adaramodu major political career began with his appointment as chief of staff to the governor of Ekiti State. After this,he was elected to the Federal House of Representatives and served as chairman Committee on Youth Development. He contested in the February 25,2023 Senate election for Ekiti South Senatorial District against the then incumbent Senator and former Senate Minority Leader Abiodum Olujimi of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP. [2] Adaramodu polled 63,189 votes to defeat Olujimi who scored 36,191 votes. Adaramodu's victory in the election was made easy due to the crisis in the party of his opponent which made some his opponent's supporters to work for him in the election. [3] [4]
